Are good 60fts still possible with stock gearing?

Am I wasting my time launching on stock sprockets? I am about 210lbs + gear.

When I first got the bike I dragged it a few times and was running around 10.4's with horrible 60's. My best were probably 1.85-1.9' s or so. This was flies out, stock pipe, lowered about 1 inch rear and fork tubes up 1 inch in front- no straps, stock wheelbase.

Now I did the exhaust. I am going to race again Sunday. Last time was hotter than hell, it was my first time launching the 14 and there were a few other things going against me. I am expecting to do much better but wanted to make sure my goals of 1.6 ish 60's were possible with the stock gearing. I could probably get my hands on a 16 tooth front sprocket if I ordered it today.

I'd prefer to just the leave gearing stock. I am trying to put together a good all around bike and I really think the stock gearing is low enough for the street. I also have a 125 mile ride to the track and the low gears won't be the greatest for that. I could get the smaller front and just swap it out for drag days though. It would also get me a slightly longer wheelbase.

Anyone have pre and post sprocket change 60 ft times?

Stock gearing is fine for these bikes.
I average 1.54-1.56 with stock gearing.

Continue getting seat time as smokin would say.

I have every pass ever made on my bike since new in a spreadsheet.
I found it easier to launch with 16T, but no significant drop it 60ft times.

These #'s are at stk wheelbase, however it was strapped in front.
Overall ET's got better and more consistant, 1.66 average, I'm 250 in gear.
My best stk wb piped no PC3 flies in pass has been 9.96 @ 144, on pump gas with a crap 1.72 60ft.

Overall I like 17-43 gearing @ stk wheelbase, works really well at the track,
and is fine on the streets, I set the shift light to 10,600

Hope this helps!

Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear. My last bike was a 954 and every time I went to the track I got a little faster. I am assuming the same thing will happen with this bike.

I am going to a bike day at a track near me and they put everyone in half second groups. It's going to be a pain if I can't get sub 10.2's. I don't want to try and sandbag in the 10.5-11 group and 10.4's won't last long in the 10-10.5 group.
