I remember when the 2006 ZX-10R came out and I did not think it looked that good, but I warmed to it and began to appreciate and enjoy the lines of the bike. Now, I think the 06/07 ZX-10R is very good looking!

And now looking at the new 2008 ZX-10R, I am thinking it looks bad but I think give it some time and I'll warm up to it. I need to see more pics, more angles, more colors, and of course when you see a bike in person.

Stepping away from asthetics, I expect the performance to be top notch Kawasaki. My 06 10R is damn near superb and to build upon that is going to feel and be amazing! The bike looks incredibly light in stock trim, and imagine how much more you can lighten that up for the street, and then how much more you can take it if you're going to track it!

It's a good time to be bleeding green!!!

Lose the exhaust and give me the performance numbers....when ya ride it you will be enjoying what it can do and how it does it...looks are not all that different from previous ZX-10R's...

ugly is as ugly does?

if it runs awesome I will like it.. if not then no way..simple choice for me anyways.....

but I already have a 2004 ZX-10R ..I want a 2008 ZX-14... ...

have fun!!

You know what's funny is alot of peple don't like the looks of the 06/07 ZX10R but I've always thought it's one of the best looking bikes built to date from the 1st pic I saw of it. None of the 08 literbikes look as good as the 06 models but I chopped the rear fender and muffler off the 08 CBR1000RR and it looks great cleaned up. Still don't like the 08 ZX10 but maybe seeing it in person will change things.

I also took some of the "BellBottom" look out of the pipe in this one. Woulda looked better if I had access to photoshop and had more time on blending/shading...

i am liking the black rear sets and the black footpegs! The mirrors suck ass. But isnt the first Kawi to come factory with a tire hugger!!lol. Thats nice at least. But more than likely its like all the bikes when you first see them. I will proly change my mind when i see one in person!

I love the new one. I may have to get one. Depending on how much of an animal it is. As for styling....awesome.
That is BS about the front turnsignals being an afterthought. Makes sense to me that for the track all one wants to do is remove the mirrors and the turn signals come with them. Allows for much cleaner bodywork. Also the signals are more visible.

I like the green tape on the rims! I suspect the '08 CBR1000RR is goingg to slaughter this bike on the race track.

Ah dream on. Maybe but it still wont be a Kawi or Gixxer.
All ready scheming on how I'm gonna get one if they addressed most of the 10's problems. If they leave the motor along and get after the other issues they will have a winner at the club level.
At the pro level its about tires rules and politics.
I like the fact that a few bolts get rid of what I consider useless like, passenger pegs, rear fender, blinkers and mirrors!!!! The pipe guys will love this set up.

Actually since we have the new hi-res pics it doesn't look too bad. EXCEPT for those mirrors/turn signals, they are ugly.

The mirror things are fugly.

Not that you'd want a passenger, but where does she sit?

This is a paragragh from the British Kawasaki.com website................pretty interesting about the motor................

"RACE-READY ENGINE

To optimise the 10R's performance for the track, the new engine has been tuned for even greater high-rpm performance without reducing the engine's impressive low and mid-range torque. In addition, throttle response was improved by installing secondary fuel injectors, using oval throttle bodies and reshaping the intake ports. These changes give the new engine a performance potential very similar to Kawasaki's factory superbike racing machines, making it essentially a race-ready engine. "

She'd have to be small and instead of arms wrapped around your waist, she'd be holding on to your neck now.
