I personally like the stock pipes....just gotta find a way to hollow them out a bit to get more sound.

I also like them, There just to damm heavy and i can hear the balancers. The yoshimura slip-ons have the best sound of most i have listened to. And holly hell there light even in the stainless form. Hey wanna buy my stockers or if you own a boat you can weld a schackle on them for a cool boat anchor.

If the topic is exhaust, why not just do it right and install Brock's full system

Toss em in the corner and if you ever sell your bike put the stockers back on and sell the aftermarket pipes. Stock pipes go for next to nothing on E-bay.

The last set of CBX pipes I saw sell on E-bay was a guy who bought a complete new in the box stock set from Honda, They told him it was their last one. It sold for a little over $5,000.

A stock muffler makes a good beatdown tool. Two guys swinging 2 mufflers at a time will crack some ribs, let me tell ya.

They might be worth something to some guys who live in states where they have emissions testing. I don't know when or if they will start getting strict on bikes but I can't imagine it being too far off. And having the stock pipes around so you can do a hour long swap once a year or two would be nice.

I think smokin is on the right path, I am only 44 so when i am 74 and need of a hip replacement i will have the money. I do have a complete 929 exhaust and a gs1150e both new, I dont need a new hip yet but a few cases of beer would be nice.

In 1990 we would have thought that the ZX11 would be worth a ton of money someday since it was such an awsome bike when it came out. The bike nor the pipes are worth nothing. I know that it has only been 17 years ago also, so maybe time will tell. BTW, i sold my stock 14 pipes for $100.
