Low fuel warning....

Does this get annoying to anyone else? I mean it acts like it's the freakin end of the world or something. Jesus christ....there is slightly more than a gallon when it goes off like that. I can't see my trip meter or instant mileage when that damn thing goes off.

I guess if you press and hold mode when that happens the thing goes away and the top left light comes on and glows bright red....that scared the crap outta me last night...LOL. I thought my oil light came on.

So yeah....

I agree, Butter. That low fuel warning is a bit over the top. Takes up the entire damn screen. There is still quite a bit of fuel left in the tank when the warning comes on. It would be nice for the 14's to have a reserve tank like the ZX-11's had. Piece of mind. One thing about these 14's, no matter how much gas you have in the tank, if you get on them hard, kiss your gas mileage goodbye quickly!

I travel 200 miles a day....I fill up the night before....go to work, then come back and fill up again....that equates to 200 miles. I hate having to fill up more than once a day. The fuel warning comes on at about 185 miles....so technically I can ride up to 215 miles on the trip meter easily....not too bad IMO.

Now my CBR has a TINY little fuel guage bar that blinks when it gets to .8 gallons or so....now that is what it should be like....not, "OMG YOU HAVE A GALLON LEFT!!! GET TO THE GAS STATION QUICK MUDDA FOCKER!!!!!"

I'd like the panel switch to RANGE and blink the bottom bar on the fuel gauge when the fuel is low.
