Flat spot @ 4-6.5K on the STREET NOSEC map

I've recently installed the SMEG and PCIII, and using the NOSEC street tune. I have the stock air filter with the screen removed. I've noticed a pretty bad flat spot at WOT or 80% between 4K - 6.5K. I've opened the map, and for some reason, right in the hole I've noticed, Brock's map pulls from 6-8 points:

100 %

4750 -3
5000 -2
5250 1
5500 -2
5750 -2
6000 -7
6250 -7
6500 -8
6750 -7
7000 -6
7250 -4
7500 -2
7750 -1
8000 -1

If you see it on the line chart, it's quite obvious. Why in the heck would he pull fuel from the stock program in that range? I sure can feel it. The exhaust note changes, and the acceleration softens till about 7.25, where it hits like hell again.

Edit, I've done a map compare against several other maps from Brock, including the Maxton. Same "hole". Hmm.

I'll pull up a couple of my maps that I tuned & see what they look like, but the stock map had run rich at 100%TP from the factory.Only going way lean in the lower rpms at various cruising speeds and I believe under 4500 rpm FT with the secondaries out. So removal of fuel is necessary in areas to obtain max HP & optimum A/F Ratio. Get the bike tuned if you have any reservations, a good tuner will have you running as good as it gets.

That map is almost exactly the same as my map current map I am building. I have more fuel between 6000 and 6750, and brock has more 6750 to 8000. Otherwise almost the same.

if you have a question about brocks map ask him. the brocks customer support is great.
i doubt he wants you plastering his map numbers on the web.
if you are running the nosec map, did you pull the secondary butterflies yet?

Well, for one it's not a complete map, just a brief range of values in a table, which is useless without the whole of the curve, and all tables. And I did pull the secondaries, along with the filter screen.

As for the customer service, well, I'm still working on that, hence the reason for posting here. I wanted to be sure something wasn't wrong with the fuel curve, until I get the other part worked out.

Interesting, you pull more at the 7K mark. After looking at a few dyno charts, I'm beginning to wonder if the cam profile and porting on the stock engine has a lower flow velocity in that RPM range, hence the reason to pull fuel, so stoich will remain consistent. Are you using a wideband and tuning/dataloging on the street?

i use the track map and maxton map with 93 pump gas on the street with no problems, stock filter or street BMC filter now. try reloading the map, you could have a stale memory location. i have heard it is a good thing to reload them periodically. i have a powercommander lcd and i reload maps all the time when i'm showing it to folks. brock recommends reloading map every oil change.

Ok, did a dyno pull today at Bob Lundsford's Honda in Houston. His dyno jet is known for reading lower number's than anybody else's around, but I wasn't there for bragging rights. Did about three good pulls, came up with 182.6/104.2 SAE, 93 degrees F, 82% humidity. Fuel curve got a bit lean between 4-5.25K,and again @ 5.5 - 6.5K. Also, got called out for being a n00b due to an improperly set TPS. Seems I was running on the 100% throttle map all the time, thanks to the TPS calibration being set to 100% - Shit. Oh well, I followed Raptor14's guide and got it squared away, also added a couple percentage points of fuel to the 100% curve in the dips. Should be on the money now!

Edit: Went for a quick ride. Pulls hard where it was dipping off before. Since the TPS is calibrated properly, the constant backfiring is gone, much more streetable. It pulls harder than my initial flight on the new parts... almost like bolting on another go-fast part!
