Smokin back to the track ....A little rusty..........

Went to the track tonight for the first time after a 60 + days lay off ... Man i was rusty !!!! I started of with some weak 1.49 60 footers ...It didn't help that we broke a record high temp of 95 Deg with a 96 deg !!!! ... I also ran the bike on a mix of 89 and 87 that had been sitting in the bike for over 60 days ... But by the end of the night I was getting the hang of it again ...Last two passes i got down to 1.42 and 1.43 60s and ran the best of 5.82 @ 123 . .. I'm getting some u4 this week and that should put me back in the 5.70s @ 125 and with some more work on my 60 footer i should get back to high 5.60s ...It felt real good to get back on the bike and make some passes ....It was so damn hot i drank four bottles of water and never had to pee all night ...I can't wait for some cooler temps ... Smokin...

Heyyyyy! Why all the skinny jokes. Welcome back smoke! I got 3 weeks left in Japan and I'll finally get to see the track again. Hopefully I'll get back into it that fast but I have been out of the saddle for6 months.

I have to let my leathers air out from last night and wash my helmet liner again. It was a hot one until the sun when down. Even after being off the bike for a couple months he still makes those 60's look easy.

what rpm are you launching at to get those 60' times? I've been launching at 4-5k. Last time at the track was 62", going back tomorrow around 64". I can't seem to get my 60' where it needs to be. Average 1.58, have been as good as 1.50, but couldn't repeat it.

I'm 290 suited, but I should probably be able to get into the high 1.40's at least, don't you think?

Smokin', have you ever ran the Maxton map in the 1/4 at all? I'm wondering the difference between the race map and the Maxton maps in the 1/4.

On the dyno it shows a loss of a couple hp because it's a little richer up top. Only difference I saw.

Thanks Smokin' and Pat.

Pat, how much power diff was lost up top. For some reason, my bike seems to run its ass off with the Maxton map rather than the race maps.
