Maybe the same reason Suzuki sold more old-style Hayabusa's in '07 than Kawi sold 14's?

I do not think they are a very large company - just a small motorbike company somewhere in Asia - I think - so you sprobably hould not expect big marketing budgets or customer appreciation programs....

KHI is a huge company, the motorcycle division is just drop in the bucket compared to their other ventures..

LOL! i sincerely hope youre joking. anyhow, you should check out kawis history and what they currently make - quite impressive. kawi makes high speed trains, turbines and robots, while suzuki makes grand vitaras and fabric looms(their claim to fame). and fuck yamaha, they make keyboards and low/midrange home theatre shit.

fun fact: did you know that the first human death caused by a robot was at a kawi plant back in the 40's?
from wiki:
quote:
Kenji Urada (born c. 1944, died 1981) was one of the first individuals killed by a robot. Urada was a 37-year old maintenance engineer at a Japanese Kawasaki plant. While working on a broken robot, he failed to turn it off completely, resulting in the robot pushing him into a grinding machine with its hydraulic arm. He died as a result.[1],[2] Urada is often said to be the first person killed by a robot. However, Robert Williams was killed by a robot earlier, in 1979.[3]

getting back to the topic of discussion, i am surprised kawi didnt have a hospitality tent set up. thats bullshit to say the least.
