I will be sticking with this one and modifying it. To get a new one would be pointless b/c the same exact thing would happen.

I'm not an expert such as black magic and them- but dood I think this whole drain pan they are inventing is lower profile, not just the drain plug bolt moved somehwere

I just have some figuring out to do, b/c even with a lower profile pan, my stock exhaust is still hanging pretty low. With-in the next couple of days i will get out there and start tearing it apart. I would have today, but last night was a good one.....

I don't see the point in lowering and stretching the bike for street riding...It's definitely not worth the risk of damaging your bike.....

I like being able to grab all of the throttle and know for a fact the bike is going to go straight and not up.

Whats the point of having a bike race on a race track, everyone knows that 4 wheels are faster.....

Update:

Well i finally got around to getting my oil pan off and will be going by the welder tomorrow to get things buttoned up. I did a little more damage to the area then i initially though:

Ended up punching the plug all the way through.

And for the curious minds who wonder why the pan is so deep to begin with:

Nothing more then for oil capacity: (thats the oil pickup)

And one last show how pathetic my bike looks at the moment: (doing a few goodies while i am at it)

KC Jr 54, how does the corbin feel? Does it sit you lower on the bike? To me it looks like the cupping in the seat would make you sit back farther.

I was thinking about getting the corbin, but I'm not sure what to expect.

KC, did you get youe Corbin locally? By the way, you sounded pretty calm on the phone after it happened. I would still have been cursing and kicking stuff.

I really like the Corbin, and for a big guy like me it the 'pocket' was a welcome feel. And you are correct ghostman, you do sit a bit further back and lower in the bike.

And Dan, i got the Corbin through Sunrise Honda (again) and you are welcome to try it out anytime. My bike may be down for a little while so you are welcome to borrow the seat.

nd as far as the incident, i guess in the back of my mind I knew it was coming. That and i love wrenching on my bike and learning more about it, and this is a huge excuse to do just that.

Also Brent Davis; who did that work, b/c that is exactly what i want done, but am a little hesitant to find a local welder to do a good enough job and in a timely manner.

Thanks Matt, looks like I came over to the "Dark Side" LOL

By the way, the suspension tweeking seemed to work out fine. Bike did well on 341. Kinda like my R1 on steroids, I'll get rid of the R1 avatar as soon as I can get some decent pics of the 14.

Ok bike is kinda done. Rode it a bit tonight, but there are a couple of things i need to iron out.

Bad things.
1) 2-Step is always active, but this is most likely b/c i have it hooked to the wrong wire. Easy.
2) My shifter isnt working at all, but was when i decided i was ok to button everything up. Going to have to remove the gas tank and double check all the wiring. I am willing to bet it is something stupid and simple.
3) Speedo isnt working, but this really isnt even worth mentioning. I know exactly what it is, but i am tired and will deal with it tomorrow.

Good things
1) I was able to ride it.
2) I was able to ride it.
3) LCD and wide-band are working very well.
4) Gearing feels incredible. (even though i couple only go up to 6500)
5) Oil pan turned out great!!

Slight Disappointments.
1)Drain plug sticks out a little far on the side, but this was my own doing. I really need to find a flush mount bolt now.
2) I had South Main Muffler weld on my o2 bung. Last time i deal with that guy. Weld looks shitty, charged me $17 to do it, and i dont think he could weld something square/flush to save his life. I asked him to weld it on as straight as possible, and if any direction have it slight upwards. Well it is slightly downwards and pushes my lower fairing out a bit, but my biggest concern will be it scraping/damage the $100 o2 sensor in corners.

Over-all i am happy though, and just flat-out excited to have the bike going again. Tomorrow after getting everything figured out, it will be getting a bath, and then some ''test runs.'' The last two are based off of weather ofcourse....
