New guy
Hello, my name is Ken and currently am the extremely proud owner of a 06 Blue zx14. I am a member of a couple other 14 sites, but decided to finally say hi to you guys.
Seems like each board has very valuable info to be had...to bad not everyone can get along.
Currently i live in Searcy, AR and have noticed a couple of other people also live in AR, which is odd considering....
I have a decent amount of things done to the bike, just making it what i want and like.
Short list:
Heli Bars, zero gravity DB, extentions, Race Railz, alarm, Scotts Dampner, Lowered and strapped, pingle electric shift, speedo healer, and some sprockets on the way.
Well i guess that is all for now.

Shorts? Don't comment about the shorts? Come on Ken. Arkansas isn't in the Ozarks. Or is it? If you're going to wear shorts you should also wear a Hawaiian shirt or t-shit. With your leather top, black facemask and gay shorts you look like a "mean noodle".
Don't you ever watch the fashion channel on TV? Riding a 14 is more than just going fast... it's making a fashion statement. Send us your address so we can start a collection to get you some jeans or leather pants. Welcome to the site but please man.... you're embarrashing us.
At least take the ZX-14 emblem off the back and replace it with a Busa sticker until at such a time we can approve your attire--

Bah, i have seen a guy wearing sandles and on the 14.....apparently it is a common thing down in Little Rocks river-market.
Tire was a 190 Avon, PSI was 50+ by the time i got back to the trailer, track was super hot, and no one was hooking until about 6:30. Should be even more interesting the next time around with the sprocket swap. May need to just go ahead and do the shinko right then and there, before even going to the track.
Lowered the tire down to 17, and with a little warm-up it did just fine. I have quite a bit weight transfer I just weighed myself, and i tipped (broke) the scales at 347, which is down, but is up from a year ago. I am dieting/making the bike faster currently.
And the shorts....yeah i know i am screwed if/when the time comes, but it seems like everyday i go out it is 95+ and with the burning heat coming off the bike, it just does not help things at all. I am looking forward to cooler temps, and weight lost, so i can wear atleast jeans, without much issue. And how did my shorts turn gay ?

Ken, nice bike. As I have never been weight challenged I can imagine from your post that it may bring clothing challenges from time to time. You didn't look that heavy from the photo. Do you do a lot of track riding?

HELL NO i dont shave my legs. They are hairy, but are covered with a light colored blanket, so it is hard to see....
And i love the looks/sounds of the Two Bros.
I go to the strip as often as i can, but havent ever been to a 'twistie' event.

Nice Bike. Got the same boots. Once broken in, they feel good and hold up pretty well.
Workin' on that weight thing myself, but have adapted pretty well to wearing jeans, and jacket in 90 degree heat. I still got you by about 50lbs. Workin' it off though.

in 95+, why even bother wearing leather gloves and a jacket if yer gonna wear fucking shorts? 2 words...ROAD (FUCKING) RASH. Sweet lookin' ride though. Love the stretch wheelbase look, even if it vastly deteriorates the handling in turns. I'd do it too, if I didn't care what happens while riding the bead...but I understand that if you spend more time on the strip than the road, the stretch makes a lot of sense. Just don't be takin' that beast to a "twistie" event...especially in shorts...:P
Where's the blanket you speak of?
BTW -- you look a lot smaller than 347...I was way bigger at 350 6'2" (years ago) than you appear to be. Sport Bikes feel better now at 218 LBS (dry - LOL).

LOL OK guys i get the point.....when my wife posts-up that i died from heat stroke, b/c i wore jeans you better be at my funeral.
Seriously though: I am 6'4" 347, and truely do have large bones.
Rear view:

And as far as the twisties, the group i ride with i keep up pretty well. And i have only about 1/4'' of chicken strips. Also, with my desires for the bike and the roads i frequent, stretching and lowering were the best options. Aside from that, if i wanted to go to say the dragon, an hour worth of work will have me back to stock.
