Clutch Dramas after 6000kms!!
G'day guys!!
Am a new forum member and 3mths ago I purchased the new 2007 ZX14! I have done 8runs down the 1/4mile with only gurly launches from around 2000rpm as have not got the confidence yet to launch her the way she should! I had the 6000km service done on Friday and after the mechanic took her for a test ride, he came back to say my clutch was slipping! I jumped on and took her to 6000rpm in 1st and them gave her full throttle! Usually she'd come up on the back wheel, easy, but now the revs go up and front wheel stays on the ground so the clutch is certainly slipping!!
Has anyone else had this sort of problem with the new clutches or could this be a problem with my bike alone? I do hammer her through the twisties on a Sunday morning and go through corners dropping the clutch with the back end snaking around.
Any help or comments would be muchly appreciated guys
Below is a photo of her
Regards,
Scotty

seems unusual, but if it is slipping, take it out and inspect it for problems.is your oil level OK?

Will be taking it back tomorrow and get it sussed out! I'm no mechanic by all means so will leave that to the experts! What clutch would you recommend that is a little stronger but knowing this is my everyday rider so don't want it to be too heavy on the old wrist?

Stock oem clutch is still the best. My bike had 188 passes and 4600 street miles before I replaced it and I don't think I needed to replace it yet.
