Life Can Be So Cruel.

I just sold my baby yesterday, my 2000 Kawi ZX-12R. Boy did it hurt. As I left for the bank this morning to deposit the money from the sale of the ZX-12R, why was it that I saw (1) Red ZX-14 while traveling to the bank and (1) Blue ZX-14 while leaving the bank. I plan on getting the ZX-14, but I'm holding out for the 2008. Man, Life Can Be So Cruel.

Now that the 14 is in the past for me I've noticed 2 in the last week. I suspect that's what I might see in a normal week (850 miles or more) it's just now I have a highten line of sight for anything shaped like the 14.

Sounds like me bigtd. I had the Gixxer 1k and was so uncomfortable riding over 45 min on it. Went to look for something to buy soon as I could sell the Gixxer. Saw the 14, went home, red an article about it and bought it that day. Took me a few months to sell the Gixxer but I didn't care. Took a few verbal beatings from the wife but I didn't care about that either.

Getting rid of old bikes is hard. I hated getting rid of my old zx6r. It was my first bike. I learned to ride on it and got my motorcycle license on it. Alot of memories on that bike.

similar story here, except i didn't bother to go home and read any articles. i had no idea that they even made a 14 till i saw it in the showroom. i had been bike shopping for a couple of months and was having a tough time making up my mind. took about 60 seconds to make up my mind after seeing/sitting on her. no test drives back then,it was the second one they had gotten in. always been a sucker for a lady in red

I had a 1996 ZX-11, and still do have it. They were the strongest bikes out at that time, like the 14 is now but I knew it was time to upgrade because the Busa and the 12 had come out in 1999 and 2000, respectively. I was deciding between those two to buy. I rode the Busa but I didn't like the way it rode. It was nowhere near as comfortable as the 11 and the 12 looked to much like the ZX-9, so I decided to wait. Boy am I glad I did. Copped me a Blue one in "06" and never looked back. Been outrunning Busa's and Black 14's ever since. LOL!
