Brookside Businesses feel the burn from Motorcyclist
Hey I live in Tulsa, Ok. I've been riding for a few years now. Just recently bought a zx-14 in Feburary. Since I bought the bike, I have put a Brock's SMEG exaust system on. Power commander, and Took the flies out. The bike sounds like a beast. I love it. Now people over in the neigborhood I lived in less than a year ago is "Cracking down on noise". Well, this particular part of town is financed by a steadily heavy stream of bike riders of all types. This is the part of town I bought my house in, and this part of town is what got me into bikes. Well heres the article that's going on right now.

I saw this article last night and had to find out more. From what I found out. the Police have been handing out $500 fines for noise violations. Now brookside is an area that's like a small town in itself. They have restaurants and bars and really it's a small entertainment district. Most of the places here have bike parking and patios to eat and drink on. I bought all 3 bikes I've owned from this part of town. Now they are going to fine me that much cause of performance exhaust? And it's not just the people who are being assholes about it and rev-ing there bikes to ungodly levels right next to people enjoying their meal or drink. It's anyone who has a non factory exhaust system. Well, the way I see it, the city is about to pay a heaftey toll for this "Crackdown". Since they can fine us and run us off, we have to deal with that. But they can't make us come back and spend our money there. We'll just go somewhere else. Probably the next town seeing how it's much more fun to ride to anyways. I think if they where going to do this, they need to target the assholes, not everyone. Opinions?

I was just in Tulsa on business. Actually I stayed in Tulsa while attending meetings at Conoco-Phillips Oil Co. in Bartlesville. Real nice place there.
Don't you think the noise ordinance is about $$$$$$$$$ as much as pleasing the elderly voters

Buy Brocks noise silencer to put in your pipe...comes in and out with one screw and it's alot cheaper than that fine.

I liked the fact the motorcyclists took their business elsewhere. Fack caving in.
