Cool. Make sure you introduce yourself .
Not looking good for Muncie. Calling for temps in the 90's and I'm not running there if its that hot.

I will do so Pat. I will be riding a fairly stock green 00 ZX12. This will only be my fourth time racing my bike so I am a bit of a rookie to bike racing. I will probably be with a there with a couple of Busas, one of them being Turbo Pete.

Sorry been away on vacation... 2 weeks of southern BC riding!
Yes cap the U4 tight, so the propyl ethelene doesn't evaporate(o2 additive).
It will not varnish as easilly as pump fuel, has higher flash point, with lead to increase the octane rating to 96. make sure to run brocks maxton map, its slightly richer ( for mr9 actually but seems to run better on all fuels!)
beautiful bike bro... you ride it? LOL
I could never keep mine that clean, public roads are too dirty in Alberta, and even in BRITISH COLUMBIA, mine gets pretty dirty.... lots of brake, and rubber dust...
the mountain roads on vacation here are a total blast!

Noticed you pulled the psg peg, a suggestion for a little cleaner look, and lose a little weight free. I ride solo and bandsawed off the peg mount. You can pick up a spare set on E Bay cheap incase you ever want to ride double...TB

Had Ryan Schnitz call Brock on this and was told for 1/4 mile use the track map. The maxton is mapped differently in 5th and 6th for top end runs. We tried it for the heck of it on the dyno and lost a couple hp. I realize no ram air effect but I believe the a/f dropped a couple #s also and I like mine sitting right at the 13.0 mark. So I stuck with the track map. Going to run u4 by the way. Was told by someone at vp that if you gained 1 hp between the Mr9 and U4 youl'd be lucky. The difference is just additives to make MR9 AMA legal. He told me not to waste my $$.

Hm..mm..... Brock told me himself the maxton map was the one for the track!
Yes about U4 , vs MR9 IMO, but some clain 3-4 % HP difference, and at 190 hp thats 2-3HP LOL
ama banned lead, so VP made Mr9 .
U4 has lead.
In any event MR9 is known to eat fuel pumps and other ugly things if left in the tank, U4 is more user friendly.

Thanks , same here. Always nice to meet people on the board. The #s to me sortof suck but between me learning how to ride it and the air ( D/A , 3500ft) I believe I will have no problem putting another stock piped bike into the 8's.

I'll have my 14 there and probaly be sweating my ass off.... I was going to take this month off until they asked to shoot the commerical on the 15th. I'm not going to run good #'s in this heat.

Yeah this heat is a killer. I'll do my best to show up. Hopefully the weather will change by then. Need to get my bike on the dyno with some fuel. Only picked up 27 in the back half should be closer to 30. WHat do you gain in the back half?
Can you get me some mr9 from around there? I can order it but on top of the 120.00, there's a shipping charge of 36.00. Got any around your area?
We ought to rent the track in sept. How many coulf you get to come? It would be a weds from 9:00am to 4:00 with test and tune follwing. I had around 80 racers last year show from around the country. I'll get it going if your interested. It'll be 40 a piece. Let me know if you got people interested. I'll post something on here in the next couple days after I figure the details.

I order my U4 straight from VP and get charged the 35$ also...sucks ass. Everybody i know has blown up (your old bike lol) or broke down and wont be running for awhile. Hell i know dozens of people with bikes it's just getting those cheap ass's to pony up some money....i'll see what i can do. I dont have a slip in front of me i'll have to look at my mph when i get home...I usually go thru at 147-148...changed my shift points now i go thru around 150 but still have the same ET...16/44 gear

I think you can get it at Circle oil here in the South Bend/Mishawaka IN area. That's where we all got our U4.

Maybe part of the problem is my gearing. I'm on the limiter at 148mph in 4th. One of the runs , I went through and hit the limiter right at the cone and the speed was 148.00. So, that speed calc. is wrong on our bikes.Running 17-42. Switching to 16-42, that should help some.
Most runs I shifted 5th maybe 100yds from the finish.
