How low can you run your gas tank at the track?
I want to try some U4. Five of us are going in on a can of it so I'll only have a gallon. How low can you run it before it won't pick up the fuel? Anyone know how many runs you'd get off of a gallon? Thanks

I run one gallon in my zx14 and get 5 or so passes ..When i get home i drain the u4 and flush the system with pump gas ... I allways have 1/2 gallon of u4 left over ....So you are safe to run it down to a 1/2 gallon...Smokin...

Smokin', say that I put 1 gallon of U4 or MR9 in my bike, run it and have 1/2 a gallon left but top it off with regular 87 octane regular gas! Do you think the stock pump will have a problem with a mix or not?

thanks smokin. did you ever try u4? people are telling me it's possible to pick up 2-3 tenths. I have brock maps so I'll be correctly mapped.

Brent i know people with zx14s that NEVER drain the tank after running u4 or mr9 and have yet to have a problem with the pump... I do it just incase it might cause a problem ......Brent what i can tell you is that stuff plays hell on your throttle bodys ..I had mine off a few times after running u4 or mr9 and the throttle bodys are all junked up and full of sticky crap !!!! I clean it with carb cleaner and then reinstall them ...By the way the throttle bodys are a snap to remove and replace on the zx14 ...  Smokin..

Yes i have run u4 and pick up close to a tenth of a second ...Mr9 seems to pick up little more than a tenth.....But the cost is a killer so most times i run pump 89 .... Picking up 2 to 3 tenths seems a little out there, i have never seen that happen...Smokin...

Oh one other thing guys >> Before you run u4 or mr9 pull your tank and remove the pump and dump ALL the pump gas out ....If you mix the two fuels you will get NO extra power !!! You need to run the u4 or mr9 straight to get any bump in power ...Pulling the tank and removing the pump is the only way to make sure you have all the pump gas out ...If you drive the bike till the fuel light flashs you still have allmost a gallon of fuel in it ...So you are no where near empty ....Smokin...

depends on which track. at Homestead I get around 10-12 laps, at JenningsGP I get around 20-25, and I'll report Daytona in October :P
