My 14 this and My 14 that. It is barely faster than the old Busa. Do you think they would put something out thats not going to knock Kawards socks off with all the shit they have been talking with the 14. You may as well sit back and watch the ass kicking Kaw deserves.

Barely?? what you live in a cave? Show me one Busa with a STOCK motor like my zx14 and the same mods , pipe p/c , strapped and lower , 62 1/2 inch wheel base go 8.77 ....You will not find one Busa with stock motor do that... ....9.20 maybe with a good light weight rider ...... thats over 3 and 1/2 tenths quicker ...And that my friend is an ass woopen....

Here's the difference between SmokinZX14 and you, he has owned both bikes back to back.... obviously you haven't. If you owned a 14 then you wouldn't say the things you say. To an educated 14 owner, you sound uneducated. It's not completely your fault, you just dont know any different.

Lol, you Suzuki riders are the king of shit talkers. I really never used to lump motorcycle riders into a specific group. But as the years have passed, I come to form the opinion, that most, yes most Suzuki riders, specifically Hayabusa riders are some of the most arrogant stuck up fucking prick motorcycle riders I can think off. Hayabusa this Hayabusa that. That crap is years old. You ride a Hayabusa it automatically comes with a Superiority Complex..

It makes you wonder why in the world anyone would ever buy an 07 BUSA. By the time this model hit the showroom floor...
1. New 08 Busa was on it's way
2. The ZX14 had been out for a year kicking the shit out of everything on the street
3. Most liter bikes since 04 had been faster
4. It was 8 year old style and technology
Was any research put into this purchase? That bike has such a strong name value that the average person doesn't realize these things. They buy it assuming it is the "worlds fastest production bike" and "it will go 220mph".
It blows my mind that Suzuki could sell one 2007 Busa from this day forward knowing what we know now. I would love to meet the guy that actually buys one right now so I can pick his brain. Safe to say there would be major buyers remorse on his part after it was all said and done. He'd get beat on the way home, get on the internet, realize he just made a mistake, then argue with me till he was blue in the face about how the Busa is the king and always will be.
The new Busa here and it is going to be a showcase showdown. I think this will make for great competition. I sure hope the 14 is still the faster bike cause I would hate to be looking at the back of that new Busa all the time.

ya Tony I still can't beleive that night the stock ZX10 and stock Gixxer 1000 lined up beat that 'busa over and over and I asked "its obvious the guy can ride, what is wrong with his bike" and you and Lee looked at me in all serious and said "thats just the way it is now, you didn't know?"
LMFAO I road home aftwards still wondering WTF WTF WTF....

It took Kawasaki this long to come out wtih something that can barely beat the stock busa. You can take that perform like a built 1397 busa crap to somebody else. You must not have been reading yourself. Barry Henson shut Kawasaki down in GA with a 2007 limited ed. busa. Kaw was out there talking shit with the 14 and got raped. You must be on some good shit to think that 14 is going to rule anything. What the hell do you think a 8 year old bike can do against a newly developed bike. I would be shame to say it could even come close to performing as good as my new shit. But hey Kaw always was behind in the game and still is. And I don't give a rats azz what Brock thinks he is in the business of making money and will tell you what you want to hear to get your money. Once the 08 busa it the street he'll ben his knees sucking. I don't own a 14 because I don't see the need to f#$k up good money.
The reason Busa riders seem arrogant is because we never get to ride in peace. I have been approached by everything from 600s to 1200s and they want to try me but want me to give them something: the hit, 2 bikes, 3 bikes. Always buzzing around gum beating. Don't confuse arrogance with your own envy. b

the world of after market will take care of that tail.with the best areos and now lower tank and flush rear turn signals it may be the fastest bike out unrectricted.

I would agree tip for tap that the new bike are tough as hell. Even the 14 compared to a stock busa but not by much more to be really impressive. I know the manufactures are playing games with us inching out the performance with each new model. But here is the thing, I know Kawaski has a few Suzuki bikes around to test and compare their bikes with and Suzuki has some Kawasaki bikes to test and compare. That's why its more than possible that the 08 Busa is going to out perform the 14 maybe by a little or maybe by a lot. Won't know untill the test results are shown.
I would not make sense to put something on the street that won't out perform an model aready on the street. I will promise you this, if the Busa don't out perform the 14 in the test then I will by a 14.
Give me a minute I just threw up a little! Can't wait for those test results!

Anybody spending 12 grand to buy one bike over another just because of 1 hp and/or 1 ft-lb is seriously screwed up. There's more to it than that. What about handling/braking, do you want to ride the damned thing for more than half an hour? Do you even like the way it looks? With bikes like these, arguing over 12 stupid cubic centimeters is weak.

So true HP will be close it will come down to personal options . Does the new Busa only have a 4 gal gas tank the 6 is a + for me.

Well I have 26,000 hard miles on my 01 Busa. It's time for a new one. I would spend a lot upgrading it to the specs of the newer bikes with the radial brakes, titanium nick nacs in the engine, lighter wheels, larger block and other things like that will cost a grip while the rest of the bike is just getting older. I am in the market for something new and will just have to spend the cash to get it. I thought about putting a big block kit in mine but don't want to deal with all the crap associated with upgrading. I just causes more problems. Like I said when the numbers are out and they if they are good I will be at the dealership to get mine. Hell I waited this long I can wait a little longer. My priority list goes Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda will never own a Yamaha.
I have all ways owned Suzuki bikes GSXR750, 1100, and now Busa. I have rode ZX12s, 14, ZX9s, Blackbirds, Gixxer 1000s, ZX10s but was'nt impressed especially with the smaller bikes because they are not as comfortable probably and the performance was'nt there at top speed. I like drag racing but top speed most of all. I removed the restrictor from my bike and tested it agianst a 02 restricted busa. When the restricted busa hit top speed I blew right passed it and when I asked if he was letting off he said he still had the throttle wide open and the needle was peged at 185.

I ll give it to suk because they do make bikes with the aeros in mind. But all around the 14 is still going to be a better bike. The times on the strip will be to close. But when it comes to everything else the 14 will dominate. Ive seen plenty of zx12 spank busas. Its like this. There will always be a bike better than the next. There will always be somebody faster than you. It comes down to, will you be satisfied with what you have. You can put chrome on your bike. Then the next guy has his whole bike chrome. That what makes the companies sell so many motorcycles. If everybody keep old bikes but just did nothing but aftermarket stuff. I tell you the main companies would notice they were losing lots of money. They would build extremly better bikes to compete with the aftermarket stuff. That like harley selling lots of aftermarket stuff. They are tapping in both markets. They even went as far to make the destroyer. The jap v twin bikes wont come close to it. Like i said a bike thats far better than the rest.
