I was until I was given this one for the project. I get to keep it until I'm done...next spring.
Trust me. I'm doing this bike a favor. That poor thing unfortunately got saddled with the white/flame-job bodywork. I'm gonna breath new life into it, and make it feel like the beast it truely is.
First up will be weighing it. Gotta know what the actual weight is before we start, so we can gauge the progress. The local PD has some really accurate scales they're gonna bring over on Monday.

Weighed it...
580- no gas.
This was using highly accurate scales the local pd uses for commercial enforcement.
I'm gonna need to ditch 100 pounds or so. Good-Bye Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream.
Good-Bye Corona Extra. I'm really gonna miss you guys

Weighed some things I thought would be places where I'd save big:
Headlight assembly: 10.6 lbs
Fairing stay: 2.2 lbs
Subframe: 8.9 lbs
Looking at the subframe, I thought that thing was good for 20 lbs plus. Guess I was wrong, but I'll probably end up loosing half of it, anyway.
Stock battery: 11.5 lbs
Replacement battery: 3.5 lbs This is always easy.
Stock plastic (with all signals, lights etc..) about 40 lbs (bottomed the scale)
Race plastic 17 lbs.
Fan assmebly: 2.0 lbs
Stock rear wheel(bare) 16.25 lbs
ZX10 stock rear wheel(bare) 12.5 lbs
JB Magtan Forged Mag 16.5" rear wheel 10.5 lbs w/ carrier.
Stock exhaust: 38 lbs
