16t front sproket on stock wb

Hi
I just ordered a 16t sproket but i won't get to test it til a comp next weekend, is there any special tips for launching different if i need to? my best is a 9.80@ 143mph with 1.62 60ft. i don't want to fuck up in my qualifiers. thanks for any input.
PS the last meet i raced i was the only street bike the rest had wheely bars and i qualified 3rd. needless to say the 14 turned a few heads that day

I just asked the same question, if you scroll down you will find it.

I am lowered, strapped and just put on the 16t sprocket other than that, completely stock.
It's not going to make a huge difference in wheelies. Will help you get the clutch out faster. I haven't had a chance to test it at the track, but I'm hoping to be in the 9's or close to it. I've run 10.30@136 with stock gearing and weigh 280. I'm curious, what mods do you have?

i've only got yoshi TRC slip-ons, Ivan's TRE and a PCIII and slammed, and i weigh 65Kgs, bout 143pounds if i figured it out right.. i ran a 10.04 stock height. but i think we have different atmosphere conditions in australia cos we arn't pulling the same times as the US.
keep at it mark you will be there soon it took me almost a year to get a 9. and there are very few 9sec street bikes around here.
