Just ordered the S-MEG :)
Well, I placed my order on brocks site. I can't wait to get it . I was wondering what kind of power inceases can I expect with the s-meg vs my D&D slipons? Will it be more than just noticable?

2 to 3 horsepower with slip on.
with full system street mega with pc3 and correct map should get close to 15 hp.
it is noticable, mine feels alot stronger on higher rpm all the way to red line vs.. my 06 with muzzy slip on.
i guess you will find out soon. u made the right decision on what pipe to get.

12-15 hp increase from stock across the board, until peak around 9300 rpm.
the stocker starts to nose dive afterwards, whereas the smeg holds the power up there right to the rev limiter.
about 28 hp more than stock at redline if i remember correctly.
Its a massive increase at the top end anyway.
My friends stocker takes a while to rev out to 300, wheras mine pulled HARD right to 300 before the speedohealer.
Put it this way, its a really nice equivalent match on top end to the no flies mod on bottom end.

The stock exhaust gags the ZX14 just like the stock exhaust gags the 12R. It will run hard up top for sure.

I just did it, Took off my recycled D&Ds for the SMEG. Holy Cow what a difference, I thought it was fast before. I loved the D&D sound, can you say loud, but the Meg is oh so much sweeter. When my Busa Bud rode it he couldnt believe the gain, He was running dual HMFs on his Busa and because of the improvement on mine, went to the single HMF Big Bird for his Busa. Mine is still faster, and after the swap he had to do something. As much as we liked the look of the duals, neither would go back to them. You wont be sorry for the swap....TB

It does backfire quite often, I dont know if this is normal, or I just have some leakage.. I am going to seal the end pipe and the little pipe right before the end pipe and see if that makes a difference....

Yeah, I used that orange colored or bronze colored stuff on the top , up where the header goes onto the flanges. I didnt do anything else though.. I think Im going to do the rest of it.. It all fit good except the mid pipe or the second pipe down was very hard to get on.. Hopefully I have it on well enough..I mean it all looks good and sounds good, just that pop everyone talks about on decel....

Yeah, my dual D&D slipons pop every now and then. It got better, when I changed the map to one that was a little richer in the lower rpm's, quieter pop. My exhaust will be here this evening and I'm off work today, so I'm fixing to go to the shop and get that factory header and slipons off of there. I'm also gonna try to relocate my pclll under the seat. I want it more accessable when I try different maps out.

let us know how it performs.
i have about 950 miles on bike now and yesterday i went for a little ride and for the first time i had it wide open hard on 2nd gear going 60 miles, man that thing has some serious power over 8000 rpm, almost throw me off the bike . now that is totallly different than my 06 with slip on.

Yeah I'll post how it runs. I'm having trouble getting the pipes lined up right. I was getting mad, so I called it a night before I ended up throwing something I'll try to finish it up tomorrow morning before I go into work at 3pm. Hopefully Brock will get my map emailed to me soon.

yeb... take your time on it. and watch for the midpipe area make sure it has clearance from frame, foot peg area. mine was touching it and had to redo it again.( just needed adjustment.
good luck.
