BST CARBON FIBER WHEELS!!!!
I have a set coming for a 14 right now. I'll post pics & give my riding impression when they're installed
If the weights are right the 14 loses more than 10 pounds on the rear wheel alone. Thats unspung, rotational mass. Gone!
I'm just alittle amped.....
The weights are running 4.6 lbs on the front wheel & 5.9 lbs on the rear wheel. The 14's rear wheel weighs over 16 lbs w/o carrier, sprocket or disc!
We are a new dealer for the best Carbon Fiber wheels made. Bikeland members are assured pricing that will not be beat!
Contact me through my site or call me at the shop.

Call me for pricing! I assure you that you won't get a lower price unless you are a dealer yourself! If you guys can get a group buy (5 sets or more) together I'll do even better for you!

Not quite that much!
But a 1/4 to 1/3 wouldn't be too far off. But, if the performance gains are dramatic then it's money well spent! I'll be road testing them myself. I will give you guys my opinion on them. I am of the opinion that suspension & lightening of unsprung weight are by far the easiest , most reliable & most effective performance gains you can make for the are Sport rider out there!

If you do a search, they tested several types and materials for wheels in a press, the BST were the toughest!
They easily surpased the euro dot standards, and the test results were amazing.
about 50 yrs ago everyone was scared of aluminum too.....

There supposed to be good for about a .2 second reduction in the 1/4 mile. I actually just took delivery on a rear wheel. This thing is sooo light it wouldn't make a good paperweight!
Durability is supposed to be 2nd to none.
I'm taking pics right now, the wheel isn't mounted yet. Just some eye candy for the board members!
I'll be back!

I agree with you completely. Weight reduction is one of the best things you can do the ZX-14, period. One of my goals is to get 50-70 lbs knocked off the bike, and what better place to start than unsprung bloat.

Don't quote me on this but, I believe they have a 2 year warranty. That should cover at least 800 passes. lol...

Mounted the rear BST on an R1 saved about 6 lbs from the rear alone. Front didn't get here yet. Also threw a pair of Olhins R & T Forks w Superbike valving on. So, when I took it for a ride there was a Substantial difference for the better. But, I'd have to say the forks contributed to that. too The front will be in wednesday along with a set going on the 14. The weight savings on the 14's rear wheel will be greater -10lbs! That should be a huge difference. I will post pics & riding review when installed!

You will loose alot of gyroscopic effect, which will be great for cornering and initial turn in etc.
However the gyroscopic effect lost may reduce straight line top speed stability, and therefor you may find a steering damper a desire in your near future too.
The new damper available from GPR damper looks real sweet. 1/3 the size of the old model!
