FRONT BRAKES!!! WHATS WRONG?
I am a proud owner of ZX-14. After only putting 550miles on it, I am so in love. I also own a CBR100RR, but this bike has brought back the joy in riding again! It does everything so well that I cant even believe it. It does heat up a little hot at idle but thats something that everyone can deal with. The only minor problem I have with my 14 is that I have a squeal occasionally when coming to a slow stop. Now with the mileage the bike has it shouldn't be squealing. Its only when on the front brakes. Do you guys think I should bring her in to the shop for them to take a look or am I wasting my time? all suggestions appreciated...ANY RECALLS ON THAT?

Wasting your time...many of them seem to have issues with this. Probably due to the multi-pad caliper setup...

No squeaks here.. Try bedding them in harder next time.. Take them off sand them up a little and bed them in again.. might work for ya.
It has been my experience that when brakes are bedded in lightly, they never fully seat flat against the rotor. Then any subsequent light braking produces a flutter vibration or an audible squeeeeeek.

A little brake pad squeal at low speeds is no big deal. It will probably go away by itself over time. If not scuff up the pads as Tool man suggested.

My GSXR1000 K3 use to do that also. I simply wiped down the rotors with carburator cleaner which cured it for about a month, after about three months they quite squealing all togetner.
(negotiating to buy a new 14 in Reno.......next week!! Yippee!! )

A dab of Copper Grease on the back of the pads usually cures it.

Mine squealed with stock Nissin and still squeal a bit with the EBC pads. BobC is right, copper grease usually isolates the pad vibrations. My ZRX-1200's both did the same damn thing too. I think it's a Kawasaki trademark
