1st Track Visit Yesterday On 14
Took the 14 to the track yesterday. Crosswind, 85 degrees, no mods (unless you wanna count synthetic oil), 1,140 miles, my 185 lb self (probably just over 200 in gear).
Pass 1= 10.76 @ 138 / 1.95 60ft
Pass 2 = 10.89 @ 140 / 2.06 60 ft
Pass 3 = 10.75 @ 139 / 1.88 60 ft
Lots of trips down the 1320 over the years on 4 wheels and although I've been riding longer than driving, this was only my second trip ever to the track on a bike (1st on my Vmax). Yes, I've got some practicing to do. I could only truly pin it in 3rd gear as I was fighting wheelies in 1st, 2nd. I guess I better hold that clutch a little longer to lower the 60' and stop frog-hoppin' the front wheel down the track.

Good job for your first try ...Get a 23.00 dollar strap for the front end and your numbers will drop real fast ....Keep going to the track and you will go faster each time ....Have fun !!!!!! Smokin..

Thanks Smokin' - my first thought was to learn the bike 'as is' before adding anything but the strap idea was sounding real good after those first runs :-D

2nd trip to track - 10.49@140.7 . . .and the freakin' 60' timer wasn't working in my lane (guessing 1.75 based on the other data on slip). Still totally stock, still need to practice, practice, practice. It was also fun to eliminate a new MV Agusta F4 R 312 in my first ever bracket race :-)
