Testing >BMC Vs Stock Vs No Air Filter...
Testing >BMC Vs Stock Vs No Air Filter...
Stock air filter with screen removed........... BMC ( race ) filter............... No air Filter
5.77 @ 124.44 ....................................... 5.66 @ 125 .48...................... 5.67 @ 125.28
As you can see the BMC race filter worked as good as NO Air filter in 1/8 mile testing ...Much safer to run with an air filter than without and no draw backs or loss of power.. If you are a drag racer you need this filter .....You could use this filter on the street but you would need to clean it and reoil it offten ....You can hold it up to a light and it's pretty thin ....So keep it clean and keep it oiled ...
I was very happy with this filter, it's well made and should last a life time if you take care of it.. Smokin....

I had to get it from the UK because it's not here in the States yet ..... 91 bucks plus shipping ... They should be much cheaper as soon as the dealers in the States get them ..

They have a street version listed for $91.00. The shipping is $19.50. Not too bad for international shipping really.

I can verify that the BMC will increase power no doubt. I did a second gear roll on with a couple friends the other day. The front wheel came up fast even with me leaning on the tank and tucked which has never done in that manner before. It suprised the hell out of me. I had to think about it for a minute, then I remember the recent filter install. Great mod.

It came pre oiled ....But you can use K&N filter oil ( same thing ) as the BMC oil...Trust me get the filter!!! One tiny rock kicked up at the track goes down the ram air tube and you are done !!!!.... I would think ever 3 or 4 weeks to re oil it would be fine ... Smokin..

Great info. Got something to add and this may save you guys some $$. If you know what Black unifoam material is and how to get it, you can cut the restrictive paper crap out of the stocker and replace with this. The material is made by UNI airfilters. Just a square piece about 1.5 ft by 1ft. I removed the screen without damaging it and cut the stocker out. Cut a piece of the black and cut it to size and install after reinstalling the metal screen with epoxy. Very little silione will hold the filter in place and the screen will keep it from getting sucked into the motor.

info on the site says clean at 25K miles(or kilometers) so it depends how much you ride, i suspect if properly maintained it would be the last filter you would buy
