It was my own fault. I saw it swinging and thought I could get in rythym with it. Back and forth, back and forth, back and forth...Everything was fine until I lost my concentration thinking about why Steve had been gone for so long. He said he was just going to get some cigarettes but that was an hour ago. Anyway, in all the confusion I realized I was out of tempo and saw it swingnign back towards my head but by then it was too late.
All I remember was waking up to Shane telling Steve to put his leathers back on.

I just got on a group buy with my local biker forum. I ordered a custom suit from Tilt Leathers. $425 for the suit plus gloves. I'm having it custom built for drag racing. I'll post up pics when I get it.

It's kind of hard to tell anything about my leathers if i'm wearing them in our house because they're all black, but here's a pic of them while i'm on the bike. They're a little big now that i lost 20 lbs... but when I first got them they were a perfect fit. The leg openings are 18" which is about the same as a boot cut jean. (I took the measurement of my flight suit's leg opening) Not too bad for a set of 300 dollar leathers. Any of the leathers from track skinz can be made into a 2-piece suit, and any alterations necessary made by making it a "custom" order (which most orders will be anyway since wayne is still starting out and doesn't stock a lot of options and extras). One thing that i like about my leathers but which may be a little of a turn off for some people is that they have hard armor in the elbows that extend down the forearm, and hard armor in the knees that extends down the shin. The break in took a couple of days, but they're extremely comfortable now. I've also got a GREAT pair of gloves that he doesn't have on his website yet. I've gotten them for a few people and they all love them.
Probably the greatest thing about trackskinz is dealing with Wayne. He'll absolutely go out of his way to work with and help anyone out. From sending suits out like he did with smokehouse before someone places an order, to calling and having changes made after he's already placed the order like he had to do for me lol.

They have ZERO break in time. 14pt carbon fiber, articulated fingers, and kangaroo palms.

Ooops. I meant to quote CC on my original post. Anyway, I ordered the same gloves as above from Wayne as well. He raved about those gloves and said that everyone that has them does as well. My order is supposed to get to him this Friday, and then to me early the next week. Track day March 6th!!! Yeeeeeehaaawww!!!

I had the same gloves except mine had a little vanson tag on them. I loved the gloves, the only thing was they lasted 3 seasons before the palm wore through. Vanson was very cool ab it and gave me a set of their drag racing gloves.

i know a lot of supermoto guys that wear them and they all seem to like them. I don't know how well they hold up in a high speed crash though.

Have you given any thought to Motoport Kevlar, custom-made gear? I don't know if that's your cup of tea or not, but here's a link if you wanna check it out before making a decision.

Here's a testimonial thread I came across too.

If I was in the market (and could afford it) I'd definitely go with this gear.
Good luck and ride safe.

Received my new one-piece leathers from Trackskinz. Can't say enough about Wayne and his willingness to do what it takes. I drew him basically what I wanted, and he sent a pic back saying,"like this". Very close. Sent me a XXXL suit to try on, and it was decided that I needed 2" wider in the shoulders, and 2" longer in the torso. The fit is great, particularly after it gets broken in a bit. This is for my track days on the Duc. Most of his leathers come in two-piece as well. I will continue to wear my two piece for the drag strip. By the way, that's my new custom painted helmet as well. Likey? Bottom line is Trackskinz/Wayne is Class A!

Very nice. I couldn't find any crash test info on the trackskinz stuff, but Wayne was very helpful. I went with a custom suit from Tiltcustoms.com

Chad, kudos for letting us know about Trackskinz. I just got my gloves from Wayne and they are really, REALLY nice. I would recommend the leathers, the gloves, and certainly Wayne to anyone that will listen.

What's up guys, I've been a lurker on the site for quite some time and have found the information posted extremely helpful. Question, does anyone have experience with the Komodo Outlaw drag suit? I'm going to be doing a few track days this year and need to get full leather. The price seems right, but I don't want to spend my hard earned $ on garbage.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

TC1's I think, find the top with the kevlar inserts on the arms, bought them a few years back, they may have updated but I see them advertised still
