bump.... Smokin, do you have pics of any of these suits from topgearleather.com?
The price seems too good to be true, and most times, that means it's too good to be true. I'm interested in this suit
http://www.topgearleather.com/product/335BK/Motorcycle-Leather-Racing-Suit-With-Kevlar-Paddings-2pc.html
I have an alpinestars 2 piece, but it doesn't fit me right, plus the pants are short because they are for road racing.

For sure I'd like to know the same thing. I was browsing around and found topgearleathers.com to have the suit I want...but if its useless isn't worth the waste in cash.

I have had the topgearleather suit for 6 seasons now. If you want a cheap suit it's great! Me personally, I wouldn't buy another one. The first time I wore them they were pretty snug, and as soon as I threw my leg up to get on the bike all the seams ripped out of the crotch! The past 2 years I have had the suit sewn up 5 or 6 times. Last year the zipper on the right leg broke, and in nov the zipper around the waist broke. If I were to fall in that suit I feel like it wouldn't protect me whatsoever.
My vanson suit will be here march 5. My fiancé got it for me as my wedding gift!!!! I gotta love her for that!

I was totally against spending $1200 for a suit, but after I got hit last April reality set in. No matter how careful you are sometimes accidents are unavoidable. With me having no health insurance one skin graph would cost me thousands. That being said a good suit that will last me 10+ years if I take care of it is worth every penny.

Call wayne willis at track skinz and tell him that chad yates sent you. I've got a set of his leathers and love them. For the price you can't beat them. He has some new styles that aren't on his site. But he'll work with you on anything you want and his customer service is on par with brocks, osr, and spencer cycles. I had mine made with18" leg openings so that they would go over my drag boots.

the ladies might lime it, but after you spend $350 registering with AMA dragbike for one event you will be pissed when they won't pass tech.

quote: ok, speaking of closeout prices at cyclegear, I got jacket and pants, pucks, protection for under 600 bucks. in dainese, thats unheard of.

I posted up about these leathers in '07, after several track days abuse and the jacket being used as an every day riding jacket, these leathers are in incredibly great condition.

My two-piece Teknic is fine for the drag strip, or just wearing the top on some rides. I decided I wanted a one-piece for road track days and the lovely and talented Chad (Bawls/CraigChrist/Deliverance momma) told me about Trackskinz. I talked with Wayne many, many times and he has been fantastic. He sent me a pair of leathers to try on and we were able to add 2" in torso length and 2" in shoulder width and the custom sizing should fit great. I even drew him some pictures of how I wanted the leathers to look, and he sent me back pics of some leathers saying, "like this?" I just about spewed coffee out of my nose they were so close to what I had drawn. I'm supposed to get mine the week before my first track day of the season. He's a great guy to work with and the leathers are very nice and extremely reasonable.
