Well i race my buddies 07 gsxr 1000!
Well today i went with a bunch of friends to ride Bankhead National Forest which is mainly long sweeping turns but to get there from were i live you have to take this long straight 4 lane highway for several miles. So i got nex to my buddy and went from a second gear roll on and here are the details--- 2nd through 3rd dead even- 3rd I got pulled on by his bike about a tire length!!!-- 4th I pulled about a bike and a half!-then he let out. So my take on it is 1st through 3rd its gonna be a rider issue on who wins after that if they are close at all the 14 will triumph!!

I watched Tony with his 14 last night take out so many new litre bikes such as the R1, the Gixxer, the blue zx10, the Green zx10... it got boring after a while.
I still think the R1 is the most chick-magnet of all the litre bikes.

Just depends how they are raced. The 14 will drop most dead from the start since the 1k's can't keep front down. From 70 or so things change, you can really get on the 1k's at this point - and then god forbid you throw a couple corners in the mix.
I have both flavors, 14 and two 1k's, and they both do an excellent job in their respective worlds.

actually it was when the hi wind resistance starting hitting the litre bikes is when the 14 dominated them (at speed). They were pretty tough off the line.
Corners are my thing too, I'm into the 600 track bikes but the 14 is sweet on the streets.

the 07 G1K I rode 4 days ago really lost the wind in its sails after 160 mph, and my 14 would just keep honkin right to the limiter.
No contest to top end!

ya I been over in the 1098 forum trippin' on how they claim the 1098 Duc bike beats the ZX14 on acceleration too :P
One thing for sure, the ZX14 is what all the litre bike owners, ZX12 crowd, busa crowd, Duc crowd, and every other crowd benchmark against.

Whatch out guys! I just saw on the news this morning that Tampa arrested a bunch of guys street racing over the weekend on the bridges. They posted up about 10 mug shots and said some vehicles may be confiscated. Just ask Smokin what they will be charged with. They will all now have felony charges on their records!

Idiots. Yeah, that sounds so discrete. "Hey Jimbo, let's go race on some bridges." "That sounds awesome bro!" They was asking for it. Being stupid is also a crime. Those homeboys don't know how to pick their spots.

Yesterday I ran an 07 Gixxer 1k from a 2nd gear kick. He said it was so bad by 4th gear he said he gave up. He said he knew it was only going to get worse.

We were going across the causeway and saw that. Blue lights were everywhere, they had the jail vans outs, it was terrible. We rode on past.

I try to keep the racing to the track. I have been to jail twice already and I dont need to do that anymore , so now I hit the tracks whenever I can.
National records are much cooler than bragging about some dumbshit race on the highway.
