Pipes
Im having a guy do new pipes on my 14, and im thinking of just going with 1 8inch exhaust. Was wondering what if any, negative affects this might have with only 1 exhaust. Thanks in advance.

Well this guy has been doing alot of pipes around my area. Since this is the first 14 he has done I get them done pretty damn cheap, and i like how low it will sit under my foot peg.

Sounds like people buy it just for sound. It will be pretty loud, with little hp gain.
I wouldn't think you could charge much just for an 8" piece of pipe. What does
he normally charge for these pipes? Any pics?

Deaz,
I understand saving money, but you are WAY better off saving your flow and getting a used slip on or used exhaust. Maybe a picture of this pipe would explain more, but with a single pipe of that diameter, you will be choking the shit out of the bike. Kinda like running a marathon while breathing thru a straw. Either way, I'd love to see a pic of this setup.

The website for the company is www.Hardrockmotorsports.com. Price is usually about 400 i think per exhaust.

Ok i appreciate all your guys input. I think tomorrow ill talk to him and just get him to throw 2 pipes on. I was just wondering if this would restrict the bike to much and it appears that it will. Im new to all this kind of stuff and not very mechanical so i was just wondering. Thanks again and sorry for sounding like a complete idiot.....

Do it. Awesome. Let me know when it's done so I can get some Ninja 250's and 500's and run circles around your shanked and neutered 14.
