I have a buddy that just bought a 07 1000 orange and black, beutiful bike. Basically it comes down to the rider and weight! But he has been wanting to run me since he got it, so i think i will take him up on it this weekend, we are about the same weight so it will be close until the upper gears, but I will let you guys know what happens!!

It's motor to Motor. No NOS. I have a dry kit but have not installed it yet. I have had a best of a 1.41 60 ft. but average 1.43 to 1.45. I am really good on the tree though. We are riding the bikes to work and then to the track. So we will see. I to think it will come down to the 60ft. We are only going the 1/8th mile.

When I was in Atlanta at the Prostar race I watched several of the new GSXR 1000's being dynoed. I know they were running race fuel but more than a few of them were in the 190+ RWHP range. Lee's 07 1000 went a 9.16 in the 1/4 mile at 153 mph. Stock wheelbase.

Hey know it all, where did i say I approve behavior like that or even get into chases with the police? Shove your psychic hat back up your dung trumpet and learn to read before mouthing off on someone you don't even know about. All i was doing was stating the obvious. The law is funny and the rider will probably try suing (when DON'T the police get sued for something?). A bike messing up at speed is most likely gonna take themself only out whereas it's not unheard of for innocent people to be taken out by a patrol car or the car/truck they're after in a high speed chase. Yes police have a law to uphold on the road, but public safety is of the most importance and that does outweigh a speed violation i believe. That cop went through alot of trouble and risk in a hopeless effort to intercept a chase and only succeeded in providing backup in scolding after it was over. Friggin awesome police work. 
The rider was stupid and deserves whatever punishment he gets, but it's hotshot cops like that which is why I check my mirrors often and proceed through intersections with the utmost caution to avoid becoming fendermeat. There's dangerous drivers everywhere and sadly, some of them wear badges.

There are a lot of highly trained professional law enforcement officers throughout the country that risk their lives for all of us everyday. But, as RyuNinja has pointed out, there are some that push the issue and take risks when the violation doesn't warrent their actions. A speeding motorcycle that's miles away? No, not hardly. But if you change the situation to a speeding car with an abducted child inside... well then that's a totally different situation. As for the officer that pushed over the bike... my guess is that he probably never owned one himself. That was until now!

my 14 has been 9.teens on several occasions...without a supersport package.....stock, never opened motor....

OK, I just got back. We had a good turnout and a lot of fun. My friend and me were the only two 14's there. The race did not happen. He had to work, We are getting ready start building 08 models and he could not come. I took a few shots with my camera phone. There was still a bunch of us there. I think my clutches are toast. I could not get a good 60 ft. and my MPH was down. 5.97 @ 116 MPH. Here are a few crappy Camera phone pics.

Damn dawg I hate to hear that about you clutches as well as the race. Hey just asking, have you upgraded the clutch springs yet? Somebody did a nice job on jack's fairing for his sidewinder too! really nice. WHat kind of numbers did he run?

Personally I rode a 2007 G1K 2 nights ago, and I would have to say its all rider.
The G1k has the power to weight ratio to beat the zx14, and the throttle response to pull it in a roll on.
I compared my Brocks smeg, no sec tp, lowered zx 14 to the G1k, and as it should be... is much more effective drag bike.
Stock to stock not sure....
Prep the G1k equally though, and G1k would win in the 1/8th and 1/4 as Brock has stated to me.
The G1k will pull the zx14 until about 3/8 mile then the 14 goes by.
I would have to say I agree with Brock.
The 14 pulls right to the speed limiter seamlessly, whereas after 150 mph the G1k is winded and struggling to hit top speed in compoarison to the zx14.
Kawi should have made the zx14 80 lbs lighter, and the plastic simpler to remove.
I still like the versatlity and comfort of the zx14 though, and the top speed pull simply stomps anything i have ridden with yet.

If it is that improtant to catch the guy on the video, they should have set up a road block or something. I agree the rider should have pulled over for everyones sake. The cops acted like total rednecks. "GITER DONE" give me a brake. The rider was prob a kid with no record. This video is a good example of why cops and most people don't get along. I believe that a cop should be a role model for young kids, and be as professional as possible. This guy is a joke.

No they haven't caught me in the act but still fuckin harass me.

I gixxer in the police chase must have been fairly careful for the police to keep up or they would have lost him in the first couple of minutes of that video. That's a lot of traffic to go that fast in the first place though. I keep my high speeds limited to big gaps in traffic with lots of visibility. It's funny though, how some people REALLY think that 85-90 mph is unsafe on the freeway, when the Germans run 130+ on the Autobahn all the time and have a lower death rate than we do.

the zx14 is in a lower state of tune than all the liter bikes.. by states of tune I mean compression, cam profiles, and ignition/ecu settings. Get the 14 a few changes and its a different animal.
