Arm or not its still 354cc less displacement. I still go with the larger cc and tq for max speed but catch one our itty bitty 1ks in the right rpm and its lunch time well up to a point than the TQ and CC take over but not many will hold it open that long. There all fast and all it takes a lil bottle of go go juice and good gas and it's anyones game

Hate to say it but that 1000 could out run a 14 with the right rider. If the rider of that 1000 is 160lbs, that combo would be at least 150 to 160 lbs lighter then me and my 14.

here we go again, now is gxr1000 vs. zx14, last week was zx10 vs. zx14, come on folks all of these bikes are very fast and close to each other, all it takes is modification, great rider vs. ok rider and u got beat.

Exactly shawnski I'm more worried about the liter bikes now then the Busa's. The Busa has to be a well tuned 1397 to keep with the 14, as long as the riders are equal.

Ive never been beat by a gxsr all things being equal. And dont expect to be beaten by one all things being equal. Yes they smaller CCs but they are lighter and pounds per CC they are about the same.

this gixxer wasn't fast enought

Fuck that cop. That chase was totally out of line. That redneck piece of shit pig will be flipping burgers when they are done with him

pretty much. Rider gets the right lawyer he'll probably be getting some money or the cop getting a new job title. Hell the cruiser running like a maniac around traffic was more of a danger to those on the highway lights on or not. Bike rips around traffic and messes up and it's usually just the rider that dies. But a 4000ib police car....

And retards like you will be in prison, again, or in a grave. Guys like you are the reason we have such high insurance! You Also keep the coroners office busy! The cop was totally out of line for pushing the bike over, thats for sure but it never would have happened if the rider would have stopped like he was supposed to.

Back on topic. I have both bikes and they both are modified. I think the Gixxer feels quicker due to its weight and fast revving motor but the ZX14 feels faster top end. But if I put them side to side at the end of a mile they would probably be close.

Funny thread. I ran a '07 Gixxer last Sunday with pipe, lowered, yada, yada, yada and he got the same azz whippin' as his brother's '02 Busa. The thing that I must add is I couldn't tell who got their ass beat the worse since I was so far out on them. The Busa rider stopped by my house yesterday to tell me that his 2nd gear is acting up....LOL.

BTW, the rider on the 1000 is only about 155 lbs. He's skin and bones so I beg the differ to see an '07 1000 beat a similar prepped 14.

Now everyone knows that I am fan of the 14 more then anyone but this statement is ridiculous!!! a 1397 busa with the same rider IS faster than a stock motored 14... a stock motored 14 is 190 hp at THE MOST a 1397 with a decent tune is 215 average just stating the obvious

I don't think he ment a stock zx14 will run with a 1397 busa ... But a stock motored zx14 on U4 or MR9 with a good map and pipe and flys removed will and in my case has beaten busas with 1397 motors ... I had one Busa with a 1397 motor beat me but he also had a wet shot...And you could not drive that bike on the street ....Hell he needed two batterys just to start it ...

He's 68" inch over I am 63", I have a Smeg and he has a Ti force, Both lowered and strapped, Don't know about his filter I have the screen off. Mine has the flies out and Brock race map. his has a Lee's map. He is 1 down front up ? on back, I am 1 down on front stock back, I am 218 lbs he is 180 ish? I am better than average rider with a lot of exeperince with high HP bikes, (I have owned many Turbo bikes and actually won a streetbike shootout in 2001 on my Turbo Busa at A. I. Dragway in Alabama). Mike (Friend) Curently owns one of Velocity Racings last years 60" inch shootout bikes, A really nice KWS built 68" inch NOS busa and 2 GSXR 1000's 04 & 07. He also is a better than average rider. We will see the day after tomorrow, It's all in fun anyway. Win or loose I just like to play. I would not trade my 14 for a 1000 anyday. Here is that $2000 dollar final run win from 2001 on my custom painted 68" inch turbo busa. I was up against another turbo busa in the final. It was a nice 1/4 mile pass and I won!

Thanks Big T good info...... I really have a hard time picking a winner here ... You are allmost 40 pounds heavier than him and that makes a difference ...He is longer by five inches ..That a big help for him.... He will be able to leave at 8000 or higher without fear of wheeling ...You do have more torq down low and makes up for some of that ..... What i see with the fast gixxers down here is even at 68 inches i 60 foot better on my zx14 than them...But i'm a light weight ... Gixxers MPH real good so i don't think you will out MPH him... This is a tuff call but i think he got ya coved unless you can tree him and out 60 foot him ... Based on your 5.90 1/8 mile run you posted you are going to run around 9.30s @ 147 to 149 ......That Gixxer on motor can run 9 flats @ 150 to 151 on motor .....Big T cut a good light and get that 60 footer to 1.40 and you got a chance ...One other thing that may help is Pull your filter ..I pick up a half a tenth and about one MPH ... Also get some MR9 fuel.. Brocks race map is set up for NO filter and MR9 Fuel ...Good luck Big T and keep us posted .. We are all pullin for you ...Smokin...

I agree with Smokin with the weight difference and 5 inches he is gonna win a tight race but he should consistently beat you... but where do you live? for a small finders fee I might be able to arrange Smokin to come out there and beat up on this guy for you LOL (wink wink)

Smokin you make a good point but you forgot one thing YOU ARE NOT AN AVERAGE RIDER the time you are running we have some turbo bikes around here that barely get those numbers
