thanks for the great video, not only sounds cool but, i can really concentrate on the motor when launching! i know after watching this over and over that i think i am not pinning the throttle soon enough to keep the motor up. i have the rpm up when staged then let the clutch out, but i let the motor bog to much. i can't wait till friday night! also i am not warming the shinko up enough, if i did leave like that it would of really spun.

I just noticed that myself, watched it again, he is going thru all 6 gears!
You can here the chain rub the swingarm guard all the way down the track.

That is Texas Motorplex in Ennis outside Dallas.

Man it sounds to me like your launching just fine, a little bit rpm decrease but looks and sounds good. You could really hear the tire screech the rubber on the 1/2 and 2/3 shift on the 2nd pass. I dont think thats the chain guard rubbing as much as it is just chain or tire noise.....

I get into fourth just at the finish line, I would think you would want to be geared so you shift less then all the way to 6th. Seems the more shifts your making the more time you lose?

8 pounds?? Damn your track must suck for hook ...I run 23 psi in my shinko most days...If the track is bad i drop as low 17 psi...

I'm just ordered a 42 rear and i'm going to give that a shot next week ..Right now i'm 16/41 and i feel it needs just a tad more gear.... I'm stuck with 1.38 to 1.40 60 footers but i feel with just a bit more gear maybe i could get 1.35 to 1.36 60s ...Like most of my plans it mostlikey will not work but it's worth a try ... Smokin...

I think going up one in the back is a good idea. I have to shift into 5th right before the traps with 16/41. I'd rather be at the top of 5th if I have to make the shift anyways.

Be safe, I busted out my pan and oiled down my rear tire a few weeks back at the strip. It was like being in the ice capades.
