black seat cowl for 07 zx14
hey guys 07 zx14 black color has changed from 06 , it has metalic, pearl rather than plain black. when i got my 07 last week i noticed missing the seat cowl, ask the salesman and he said that 07 does not come with it. i was pretty sure it came with it. well little later on i saw the seat cowl was installed on the bike!!!!!
tuesday i got the bike after installing all performance parts, i was cleaning it on beautiful sunny day and i noticed that the seat cowl is black but it is flat black instead of pearl black. called the dealer and told him about it and he has no answer for me. for the ones who have 07 black, can u check yours see if yours matching or different too.

My 07 came with the seat cowl and it has the matching metallic black paint. Seems like they put an 06 cowl on your 07. If you can't get it straightened out at the dealership, I've seen them for sale on ebay.

I would not spend a single penny on EBay or any other site for that matter. The USA version of the 14 comes complete with a matching seat cowl. I would take it right back to that damn ass-monkey in the dealership and demand they make good on their blunder.

Hey Shawnski.... i was at a dealer a few days ago...and he put on the rear seat cowl for a 07 Candly Plasama Blue.... it looked good to me....im pretty sure the blue's are also different from 06 too 07 ....he's getting a black one anyday.... ill pay more attention to that & let ya know what i find...thanks for the Heads Up though

i called the salesman at the dealer , he said that he will take care of it. i guess the set up guy messed up! oh well .... shit happens 
the day i got the bike it was cloudy and could not see the difference, you need the sunshine!

All the 07 colors are different from the 06 - so no mixing paint parts. Go back and
demand it. The bikes do come with it. What dealer did you go to ?

it is already taken care of, they are good people, mistake happens, it is just how quick they can resolve it. they did not give me any hard time and already got the right one from them and put back on the bike. NOW EVERYTHING MATCHES>

Glad you are getting it straitened out... I work for a dealer. They come with them but I have seen slimeballs say that they don't so they can charge extra for it... Some sales guys have no morals....
