map risk in pciii

ok. i went out to pc site and got the muzzy slip on map. i assumed it would be closer to the standard map with flys out and 2brothers pipe.

will i hurt the beast doing this???

i want to test the various maps from slip on pipes. but i do not want to hurt the bike. the map with standard pipes and flies out was way too rich... black smoke when reved and stinky...

thanks for your thoughts

Some people has ran the 14 with the flies out and no pc, so as long as you don't go leaner than the stock settings, I'd say should be ok since you're running slip-ons. I have some maps you can try if you want. I'm running a map made for a full system, but I just have slip-ons. No black smoke from my pipes.

Well, the one I'm running was made on the street with a wideband a/f gauge kit. It adds more fuel for the ram air. It's supposed to be better than a dyno map. It runs great on my bike. I can send it to you, just PM me your email address. I'll send you a couple more too.

If you contact customer support at powercommander.com and let them know your mods, they might be able to suggest a map for you........thats what I did last night and they responded this morning.
