Who's installed a magnetic oil drain plug???

I've always meant to get one for the 14, but I've been slack in this dept. Anyone have one? If so, how much metal have you found at the mag?

Sorry I can't help you on the 14. I installed one on this bike because its ridden only between 10 and 15,000 RPM. And sure theres a sliver or two, but its mainly to show if there's something real going on

What IS a magnetic oil drain plug? I mean, is it just a magnetic cap or something that takes metal shavings out of the oil? Where can I get one?

Ah. Gotcha! Look at me, I'm itching to buy anything at this point!
"What is it? You don't know? Is it for the 14? Is it new? Cool, I'll take it!!!"

I've got one. Haven't changed the oil since I put it in. I will be due an oil change in about 500 miles - will let you know. It is a cheap investment. Only paid about $10 for it, so anything it stops is a bonus.

I doubt you will find hardly anything.... not much steel in these motors anymore... and even if the magnet does not get it. your oil filter will...
