I like to play w/ pipes
Im a creative guy, welder, and a '06 zx-14 owner. Definitly, a scandolous mix. When i first bought my baby, i immediately cut the left pipe off, capped the opening, and proceded to gut the baffles in the right pipe. It sounded mean, improved preformance, and looked 10x's better. Then i got greedy. I cut the pipe open again and removed the mesh "cat" from the pipe, giving me hardly any restriction. She backfired everytime the RPM's hit 3500 on decel (not so cool). so, i dealt with it for the rest of the summer.
Now ladies and gentlemen, i have totally reached a new level in "Ghetto Rigging" my exhaust ! Today, i cut the stock pipe off and proceeded to weld on a "Flowmaster Hushpipe" it is about the same size in diameter as the stock pipe, with a little more of an oval shape. it's about 14" long. This pipe sounds awesome!! it feels like its giving me boost!! i dont suggest experimenting with your bike like i am. im retarded. lol i work in the custom car field so i think outside of the box, and i cant leave well enough alone. also, i cant afford the pipes i want right now. i'll try to get some pics of the bike w/ the pipe on it. first i wanna paint it w/ some black hi-temp paint. peace out. please leave comments

Yup know what you mean. I had mine 12 hrs and bandsawed off the stock cans and stuck on a set of D&Ds I had laying around the shop. I do a mean glasspack conversion on my Valkyries, and am not afraid to experiment if it looks good. Would like to see some pics. Flowmaster makes sme great exhaust, used to run em on a Vett....TB
