Torque spec. for engine bolts?
I'm installing some frame sliders & they require taking out the engine bolt & replacing with a new longer one, does anyone know what torque spec these bolt need to tightened at?
thanks

Service manual says 44 ft-lbf.

Oh yeah, when I installed the Muzzy frame sliders, the instructions said to reinstall the new bolts with anti-seize compound on the threads. It gets hot in that location and if you ever need to take the bolts out you might want to consider the anti-seize.

Thanks raptor14, next thing on my list to buy is the service manual.

Anti-seize? I figured thread locker, would'nt want those bolts to come loose.

They won't come loose. I even use anti-seize on the lug nuts on my car wheels. Change from winter to summer tires and vice versa according to the season. The anti-seize has never caused them to loosen up. Installed frame sliders on my FZ1 6 years ago and used anti-seize. Just checked the torque last week on the major N&B's. No problem.
