The ONLY actual change to my bike so far is tapping the oil press sender hole to NPT - it was Metric, but needed a T-fitting to get oil for the turbo bearings.....everything else is bolt-on. If you look at this pic:
.....notice that just when you need MORE cooling they have cut off the bottom of the radiator (2 rows gone)
It has been a real PIA - I have more respect for those that have done it before now.......
I had goals:
Keep it in the plastics - as much as possible
Don't mod the structures by cutting or welding the frame - no airbox mods/sealing
Use a unit that was able to make enough power to be a good street unit while still costing less than race units
Be able to use my slip-ons (I have actually already run the motor a couple times and w/o any pipe at all on the turbo outlet it's not so bad)
Use a few parts as possible w/ lower boost and then work up from there
........may have some time today to work on it.....
Yeah everyone that i've found so far has the pipe sticking out the fairing..i did get to hear a turbo at the mile run... it was a little loud for street use... the turbo at the track was a zx14.net job ... had the filter hidden and pipe out of fairing ... it was a clean install... i'm not buying anything from zx14.net...
