Swingarm first? Thinking about a turbo, but gonna lay down the foundation (swingarm, lockup clutch, etc.)
I've been looking at the swingarms, and some are:
obviously stock rewelded units
and others are completely manufactured units
Question is, is there any difference in strength between a fab'd unit and a rewelded one?

I think the trac arm is over kill. I think it's for 5-600 hp bikes. A modern club foot swingarm. The only problem with the stock arms are the flexing under power with extentions and hitting the fuel pump housing when slammed. The flexing would be taken care of with with the under bracing, but you'll still have to deal with the clearance issue unless you use fully adjustable drop links or the middle hole on the dog bones. You might want to check out ADAMS performance's arms, Spencercycles arms, or Velocity Racing, the best bang for the buck, although I haven't been hearing the best things about them lately, but I don't have one. Check them out.
