Bigger RAM-AIR pipes for zx-14?

Is anybody aware of any bigger ram-air pipes for the zx-14? If so, any experiences with them, good or bad, or any other recommendations?

Thanks,

Ville...

If you finder a bigger air duct for the front fairing please let me know. I can't seem to sleep comfortably when camping out in the one from the factory.

What...you don't get enough air now? The 14 can make almost double it's current power without changing the ducts...and you need more?
I recommend you buy a T/C and forget about changing the intake ducts

When in comes to airflow bigger is not always better. Your engine can only use a finite amount of air for the fuel it burns. Any more is unnecessary and probably would detract subtly from the aerodynamics. Kawi's engineers have spent considerable time configuring the airflow and areodynamics of the 14's air intake. I doubt an after-market system will do anything usefull.

Those are pretty niffty though......they could be used to funnel air to almost anything. Maybe aimed at the motor to help move the hot air out from underneath the fairing???????

I beleive it did it on 13.5:1 compr. and race fuel.
Orient, Coby Adams, and Carpenter are producing similar engine builds.

From what I have been told , less timing and pump fuel will net around 228 streetable, reliable RWHP.

Best to phone them yourself though, I talked to Bob last fall, maybe new developments have surfaced since then.

Personaly, optimum build would be stock bore, stroked, ported, 8-1 compr. rods, and a big turbine hanging off the exhaust !
The only duct work that matters is the duct from the disharge of the inlet impeller, to the airbox!

Seriously, not to bash anyone because I understand bikes are specialised, so development costs are higher per unit compared to cars, but $5K?

I 'm better off with a nitrous kit, that I can transfer to the next bike.

Everyone knows $ per HP:

1st = Nitrous, 50Hp = $1000
2nd= Turbo, 50-80 Hp= $5000
3rd= motor, 50 Hp= $5000

Pick yur poison!

I saw a video clip some where (Street Fire site?) of Greg playing with a small electric powered fan that he was going to use for some type of forced induction. He was blowing a box across the floor to show how much wind velocity it generated.

The only concern would be when you hit the end of your 100 foot extension cord.........
