exhaust
I had an r1 with a micron on it and it in my opinion was an awesome exhaust, not too loud and not too quiet but just right and not to mention after riding all day I could touch the canister and not get burned. I am looking for a similar exhaust for my 14 any suggestions cause those big ole things on there now will burn the snot right out of you, trust me I know.

Yeah, I have a few 'branding' marks on my arms as well from the stock cans. Any aftermarket can will run cooler since you are getting rid of the 'cats' in the pipes and the fact that almost all aftermarket pipes have some type of fiber sound deadning material in them which keeps the outer shell of the pipe insulated from the heat.
I am putting on slip on's made by Area-P. Very nicely made cans. Power increase is minimal, probably around 5 to 6 at the rear wheel, but you have no loss of mid range below 7000 rpm where you spend most of your time any way. I like the balanced look of 2 cans on a big bike like the '14..........opinions vary!
For max hp out put and to minimize weight, many riders here swear by Brocks pipes & Muzzy. Do a search, there has been lots of opinions posted about various exhaust systems here.

ZREXER I am kinda like you...I was leaning towards a 4-1 but having second thoughts now. My XX has 2 Bros. Slip Ons and I was happy with them. When I look at $$,and the look of a 4-1,I am leaning towards Slip Ons. I like the 2 Bros. pipes but I just can't get used to that VALE end cap. That cone GP Style end cap just doesn't do anything for me. So I guess I am looking for a set of CF Slip Ons since my Black 07 would look better without a polished can.

Below is a picture of what the Area-P's look like. This is not my bike.............but I have a blue one just like it. The Area-P's also come in carbon fibre. I wanted a nice basic looking can, no fancy shapes.....I don't really like exhaust cans that look like a ray gun from Star Wars myself!
