I take the tank completely off when working under the hood.
I would be nice to have a rod to hold it up though.

I just tilted the tank back, left all the lines attached and blocked it up with a piece of wood. 2X4 or 2X6 I don't remember, but it held the tank perfectly vertical.

Caution Will Robinson Caution
I was doing the same thing, proping up the tank and somehow managed to let it slip and it did a nosedive into my concrete shop floor. Put a nice crinkle along the leading edge on the left side of the front mount. Fortunately I am a prosticator, and covered the ding with a strip of tape on each dside to make it even. Didnt look too bad esp with the JR Manta mounted. Rode it that way for 6-8 months untill the other day I bought a full set of skins including the tank in my color, CTB, for 1500 bux, brand new. Off one they stripped the engine for the T Rex. Better bet from now on it will be full removal of the tank when I need to get under there. Doesnt take anything extra to fully remove, and can pay off big.....TB

I leave the bottom bolts in, just loosen them enough to tilt it where I want it then use the 2x4 method. If it does happen to fall it can't go anywhere but were it belongs.

Hey guys just a heads up, Kawabusakid is working on a hinge for the tank so it can be propped up just like the Busa or the 10. They have the proto type made and are in the process of geting it into production.
