10.80 from this 1st timer =)
Today was my 1st time participating in 1/4 mile fun as well as the other 2 ZX-14 riders and i'm hooked
It's a whole new level of fun!
Me and my friends Chuck (Flame on) , James (Ninja14) ,Ron on his 14 and my buddy Larry and his '03 Mustang cobra svt rolled out to LA county raceway for some cheap thrills and got our money's worth!
My best times were the last 2 of 8 runs which were 10.80 at 133 mph and 10.93 at 134 mph
All the other runs were pretty consistant 11 second runs that kept improving

The only shame was no action pics were taken of us riding due everyone having way too much fun on the strip to care at the time, but i did snap a shot of the Mustang doing a burnout

I want to reply, but Troll Hunter dubious may get me......whatever...
You need to use my scanner too, Lee......so we can read the slips :-) .......since you don't mind stealing my pics from the other site :-)
Correction factors for LACR:
Time X .97
MPH X 1.03
Me and Mr. 'Max ran 11.76 @ 114.32 on this first day of trying - less than half a second off the "pro" time......kept up w/ the 14's for a few runs :-)
Hoping to have my 14 turbo done by the next round.
Glad I could point you guys there.....it's a new adddition to our hobby....I've set up another ride for next weekend.

At least you wore a real helmet today.......
Stay tuned for next weekends ride info......
The turbo will be low boost and pump gas.......so you will only smell tire smoke.....

Street launches allow more spin and there are no clocks to tell you that it was not as fast as you think :-)
I'm going to worry a little more about the bike than the lights next time......

Yep have to do it again soon . The 14 is a great all around bike new riders to the 1/4 mile with stock setup and we are able to pull high 10's fun bike on both kinds of tracks.

one of the first lesson i learned about the tree... if you actually see the green come on and your not already in the act of releasing some clutch..... your toast..

Funny you should ask......
Shemp is my favorite and if you look at the front fender of my Vmax in the pic you can see the "2" of the "12"
