1st Impression @ 100 miles...

OK Here goes...it was finally clean and warm enough to get the new 07 out and put 100 miles +/- on the new Kawi.

1. The grips are hard
2. It's too quiet (Compared to my 2 Bros. XX)
3. A little soft down low but comes on nicely with RPM's
4. Suspension is more comfy than the XX
5. 1st partial fill up =33.7 mpg..Not bad for the way I was riding
6. I love the info screen..got to play with it while riding
7. Seat isn't bad so far but it's early too
8. Probably needs a taller screen for more wind protection
9. More torque in 6th than the XX in 5th!
10. So far pretty happy..can't wait till exhaut gets changed and flies out

Stay tuned for more.....

Aren't you going to ask which exhaust is better?

I loved the 'Bird but the ZX-14 is so much more. If you switch between the two you'll need to rev the XX like a 600 to keep up.

# 1. Hell yes, replaced that shit first off
# 2. Yosh full sounds real nice on the XX, the 14 has a growl but you'll hear more valve train noise than exhaust in stock form
# 3. Secondary Throttle Butterflies out and you'll think you're riding a bored out and stroked KX-500 on the street from a launch. All wheelies, all day!
# 4. The suspension needed some fine tuning out of the box for me, I'm about to reset it yet again
# 5. Carbed XX didn't fare much better, then again I had a lot of power mods.
#6. The sceen is cool, we need a program utility to customize some of the settings. It needs a GPS sidecar!
# 7. The seat sucks. I'm 195# and I slide foward on it too much. I think a Corbin will cure what ails it.
# 9. Like I said, going between a 14 and a well-tuned XX, the XX felt like a 600 :

Hope you enjoy your bike. I'm thinking about another XX for a guest bike, however I'm leaning toward another ZRX-1200 right now.
