Is the 14 all that?

i am wondering what everyone thinks,, im sure most of you had 12s before the 14 came out,, and now that the switch was made,, what your honest opinion of the bike is,, i am considering the move,, but want feed back as most dealers wont allow test rides and i dont know anyone with one to take for a ride,,input?

About like comparing a 63 split window to a Z06 Vette of today. Both are Vettes and both are fast. One is just a lot nicer doing it. BUT the other still looks better

The 14 is a damn nice bike. One of my 10R friends just switched to a 14 and is very pleased with it. It's no 10R in the corners but he says it's damn good. The 12 is still much more sexy!!

I agree---------------------> It's the future and better in most every way EXCEPT looks I don't think many motorcycles will ever look better than the 12R. She's drop dead sexy

Took the 12 out the other day and then jumped on the 14 right after. Prefer riding the 14 much more now. More comfortable. Faster. Sounds a lot more exhilarating. I've got Hindle full exhausts on both. 12 seems slow in comparison. :-/

I had a deal done last week too trade off my '05 ZX12R for a ZX14......Deals on hold because I just don't know if I can part with my 12...I know the 14 is faster (depending on rider skill level) and more comfy, but I just don't know if I'll do it or not..

If you let them know that riding the 14 is the deciding point of purchase for you, I'm sure they'll let you ride one. I did and I got to take a red 06 14 out for about 15 minutes on some nice fluid curves. I fell in love with the 14 and 5 days later I was riding a black 07 out of the parking lot

Dont think a fall will be that costly. They are stripping the engs out of the 14 brand new for the T-Rex, so you can pick up a full body set cheap. E bay is full of 14 parts for a fraction of factory. I dinged my tank and bought a full body set in my color that included headlights and everything for 1500 bux. The 14 is such a super all arounder that I dont see how you can go wrong....TB

I would say the 14 is about 90% of what was expected. It pulls like a 600 until the flies open and runs alittle hot....at least mine does. Most everybody pulls the flies and slaps a exhaust on..so that cures most of those problems. I would give it a "A" if i had to grade it. Kawasaki did their homework and it's a great bike, not bad for a first year bike. FYI...the bike looks ten times better lowered.

Yeah, I thought about lowering mine, but after I scraped my foot the other day in a curve, I think I'll leave it where it is

Thats what I did. My ZX12R is raw and un-refined. The ZX14 is like smooth vanilla ice cream. They make a great pair....
