dubious,

Thanx;I ordered them from Chrome pros plating. They do exchanges. $895 for a set with a $895 core deposit. It was 5 step and I would recommend them they did an awesome job. I can not see any of the casting.

Thankyou very much!
How was their shipping?
Some of my stuff gets pretty banged up, and takes a while getting here by the time it arrives to my house, as I live 700 miles North of the US border.

My deer and I both think that it is a beautiful bike!
My question is the windscreen? I'm looking for a blue one.

1bigkaw,

Thanks to you and your deer.

I ordered the windscreen from 58cycle.com. I do not know if they have any blue ones though.

What part of Germany?
My wife was born outside Dortmund, family in Hagen.
I have been thinking/ dreaming of shipping the bike over next time we visit, meeting someone over there to ride with would be cool!
I loved the autobahn, but the back roads were very nice too, twisty with alot of risers and drops

Don't know what they would do with my smeg, as it is quite loud and I understand they have tight restrictions on vehicle modifications. Looks like your managing fine though!

They are really strict here. But since I am in the military I can get away with a few things.

We live in Vilseck which is near Nurnberg. The back roads are better. We have alot of motorcycle only bars and clubs. They are putting the decibel gun on the pipes now so you will probably have a few problems. the twistys are cool except for the cow shit and tractors.

I don't claim to be an expert on wheel chroming............but I did see a picture on one of the 'Busa boards last year where the rear hub had major cracks in it. The thought was that the chroming process had made the aluminum brittle.

There seemed to be a lot of discussion regarding chroming and possible changes that resulted in the strength of the wheel. Could be all BS, I don't know.

Maybe the guy just hit an enormous pot hole in the road!
