Is 90 MPH really 81 MPH ?

I'm cruising down to bike week Thursday morning and I don't want any trouble with the police. I allways run 80 MPH in my car in Florida without any problem. Is there a 10% difference at 90 MPH ?

Speedo on my bike was 7% off with stock gearing. YMMV

I've always wondered why do bikes speedo's always read higher? Isn't there something they can do from the factory to make the speedo and odo read correct simultaneously?

But don't forget the 14 is diff w/ the CAN system. The speedo is off, but the ODO is very accurate. I did two 1000+ mile trips and it was almost perfect. If you adj the speedo then the ODO will be off - so I set the healer to stock error so I could clock proper mileage.

Mine is only about 5 mph off after using a higher profile 190/55 rear tire and the odo is not off nuch if at all.

I always have my Gps mounted for more accurate readings

Laser radar gun? Guess maybe you meant laser/radar gun. You realize they're different right?
