Took the plunge with gauges!!!

And all I can say is DAMN!!!!!!!!!! I had a problem with the white instrument cluster at night being to bright, took away from the road, so I had them changed to red. Still bright enough, but knocked down a notch or two. I also had the led's under the tach and speedo changed from orange to red. I thought the shift light was a regular led but turned out to be a surface mount also, I had it changed to a brighter red also. Scott knows his shit, did his thing with 'em in less than 48 hours.

They look nice... did you try the dimming feature that came with the stock gauges?? Not that they are better than the ones you chose... but I was just curious...

Where's the dimming feature?
Smiddy the guages look nice, I like the idea of increasing the brightness of the stock shift light.

Stalwart, those are actual different face plates (illumiglo) that you swap out with the originals. If you wanted he would change the orange led's under the tach and speedo to blue, like I did with red. I wanted to get those but they only come in blue.

I know of the dimmer on the shift light, but not for the rest of the dash. How do you do it?

With the dash itself being dimmer (less aggressive), I think the shift light would appear to be brighter anyway, but now I can't tell.

You know what man, I wasn't aware what you were aware of. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass about it, so there's no need to be that way towards me. For those who didn't know, now they do. They could get the a similar effect with the oem face plates with the blue led's under them. I responded to you because you posted the pic, that's all.

I don't want this thread to go to the SmackHouse, even if he doesn't have a clue. Still, stupid is what he appears to be . . .

People say dumb shit sometimes, get over it.

Anyway, brighter shift light would be really nice, I can't see that thing at all when I'm looking at the road. I don't normally care for blue gauges because it affects your night vision more than red, same as the blue headlights. Might be nice if they're not too bright though. I have a lot of trouble seeing the gauges at night when I'm under a street light.

I also would rather it not go there, as I would not go there with it. I don't come here to talk SMACK. So I don't have a clue, and appear to be stupid. How did you come to this conclusion? I've never said or did anything to you or about you before this thread. It seems to me you're taking a very childish attitude about this. This very minor issue is going far beyond where it needs to. So let me ask you, if we were standing face to face, and I said what I wrote, how I wrote it, you would stick your finger in me face? If so why? If not, why do it online? I don't mind debating a point of view with anyone, but the disrespect is uncalled for. Am I not to say anything to you after anything you write? I really don't feel like taking it any further, so I'll leave it like this. Don't disrespect me just as I have not and will not disrespect you. If I wrote something you feel disrespected you address in that manner. There's no need for this, at least I don't feel the need for it. I'm not a keyboard god, and will never try to be.
