I would not mess with the stock set up

Just kidd'in.. Change the oil soon, I did at 200 again at 500, then again at 3000. Now every 3000. It gets all the little shavings from the gears and such out ASAP.

You can do the mods. when ever you want, you will not be sorry. This bike likes it

I changed my oil and filter at 500 miles and 1000 miles, then pulled my flies and installed power commander.

Had mine about 12 hours, and 20 miles when I sawed off the stock cans and slipped on a set of D&Ds. Shortly after that I got a Muzzy modified ZX10 PC for it. At about 50 did my first oil change. Of course back then nothing was avaliable yet, so you had to make do.

Mine had a half mile on it before pulling the flies, pipe, PC and BMC. Of course it's been cold with nothing else to do!
