SHOCKING UPDATE!!
I installed Brock's SMEG, PC and pulled the flies. Now the damn thing runs like it's on steroids. But, you guys already knew this, right? I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for making this possible for me. I couldn't (wouldn't) have done it without the input of all those of you who went before me. Fit and finish on Brock's pipe is unbelievable. The street map appears to work well with this combination. I drove the bike through town and got it hot. No driveability issues to complain about. Then I took it out on the highway and pinned it in a couple of gears. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BIKE! I'll put a 16 tooth sprocket on it when I get used to the new power down low. No backfiring on deceleration. That little red plug must really work.
Does anyone know approximately how many tenths I'll drop in the quarter with these mods? If you have run stock and then done this setup, let me know what your ET's were before and after the swap. Oh, and I think I'll make a nice wind chime with those leftover flies!!!!

Flies don't do much for the 1/4 mile but the exhaust and PC should add at least 4 tenths. Straps and lowering the front would be an easy way to add a few more tenths.

I'm assuming you live in denver?? At any rate a mile high club member like myself. I have all the bolt ons you mentioned and after lots of practice i've mustered a 10.30@137.25 mph.
This is with a 1.70 60ft at stock height and wheel base. I also weigh 230 lb's suited and the air density was around 8000 ft.
For whats it worth bone stock i ran a best of 10.48@135 mph. However most of my passes were in the 10.6 range and average mph was 133 ish.

Launching it will be different. Trying to keep the front wheel on the ground will be a "challenge".

I know what a mile high club member is in an airplane but there can't possibly be one on a motorcycle... or is this something different?

In my opinion< taking the flie out will hepl you big time in the quarter mile. For the simple fact that now you can stage the bike at between 3 and 45 grand and not worry about bogging down due to the lies not opening! That bike is now a new bike completly!

Ditto,
especially handy ON THE STREET FOR 3000 RPM Launches.
If you launch below 5500 rpm it wants to bog, above that it either lights up the tire, or wheelie. with the flies in.
I felt it needed way to much clutch abuse and modulation...
( and I used to holeshot 3rd gear motocross starts locally every time I lined up!!)
Flys out I throw away the clutch and trist it wide open at 3000 on the street, depending on road conditions and my intent as you can see in my sig LOL, it either lights up or pulls away clean.
the sig is actually a 50 mph 2rd gear 200 yrd rolling burnout LOL
I miss summer so much

[ No backfiring on deceleration. That little red plug must really work.
What is "That little red plug must really work"??? Is there a cure to stop that popping on deceleration????

rookie here, flies? I've read about these before but don't understand exactly. And since I dumped mine recently and have to put it back together plus I'm adding the pc3 at the same time. Already have a TiForce. Would this be a good time to do this "fly thing". I have been told what this entails before but was not sober and so I have no clue. If anyone out there has the patience to explain I would greatly appreciate it.

4 things
1.... "rookie here, flies?"
2... " I dumped mine recently"
3.... " I was not sober and so I have no clue"
4.... "If anyone out there has the patience to explain I would greatly appreciate it'
I do have the patience, are you ready??
Maybe you are? I do not know that for sure. But take a warning. Please.....
This modification will greatly increase low end torque, that will greatly increase the possibility of you landing on your head due to a highside!!

Step 14 of the instructions that Brock provides with his street SMEG pipe shows how to install the KLEEN Air System Block Off Cap. He provides the cap and includes 4 pictures to show you how to install it. Yes, it prevents the popping sound during deceleration that so many people complain about. I'm sure a call to Brock would get you the plug and instructions. His customer service is the best I have ever experienced.
I took the bike out again today (61 degrees here in Denver) and I was absolutely amazed at the new low down power!! This thing pulls harder in 4th gear from 30 mph than it did stock in 1st gear from the same speed.

Tool man-
1. I'm somewhat of a rookie with the wrenches, but want to learn as I go with this bike.
2.Early this week I did lay mine down when I came across some road tar+very cold day. My mistake, it was to cold to be out there (33). I do have quite a few years experience and knew better but bwtf. Live and learn I was to anxious to ride.
3. I love my beer but not when riding.
4. Would greatly appreciate the help ecspecially since I asked the head service guy at the shop I go to and he had no idea what I was talking about!!! But like I said I would very much appreciate the help.
Thanks

Ok, I put the 16 tooth sprocket on and finally got to ride it today. Around town it didn't feel much different than the 17 T gear. SOOOO I took it out to my favorite downhill on ramp where I can usually hit 75mph or so before I have to merge onto the highway and turned it loose. With no flys, Brock's pipe and PC and the 16 T, I must admit I WAS NOT ready for what happened next. The front end came at least a foot off the ground ( going downhill) and I immediately started grinning like a kid who had just gotten everything on his Christmas wish list. HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU GUYS AT SEALEVEL KEEP THE FRONT END DOWN ON THESE THINGS?? I thought I knew fast, I drive a 800HP small block Vega in bracket competition here in Denver, but this thing is the new King of the garage. I think I understand why Kawasaki neutered this bike. Damn, I'm in love again!!!
