i've got an idea!....
use the search function of this site.
there are so many threads full of so much info on flie-out to include illustrated directions and mapping info
neat concept, that search function.

ZX14 ripper, I have a map for you. It's for a full muzzy exhaust, flys out and the screen removed from the air filter. It was made by someone using a wideband a/f meter. It's more accurate than a dyno because it takes the ram air into effect. I have it installed in my pcIII and my 14 runs great. You can pm me your email address and I'll send it to you if you want, or you can just post it up on here. Just be careful when you ride it for the first time with them out, big difference in the lowend with them removed =O

There are some on this board that will always say to someone asking a question (that has been asked before) to go use the search function, its way easier to ask the question than wade through all the wrong threads that don't answer your question. its almost like these people want you to feel their pain, that they felt when they searched for something.
How many questions can be asked about the 14? Questions are going to be asked twice, relax! There are some who live on this board and just sit in front of their computers angry. Don't worry about them and ask your question.
it always better to get a question answered in real time with active members. Things change over time. Old threads may not address new information as more knowledge on these issues has been accrued .
I have the flys out, stock pipe and no power commander. bike runs fine as long as you use 91 octane. there was a big increase in low end torque at 2000 rpm up to 5000 as soon as I took them out. I had 89 octane in the tank when the flys came out, I immediately had to go get 91, it pinged immediately.
My pipe and PC setup is coming but as of now the bike is plenty fast.
Since you are running a Muzzy pipe, getting a map from Muzzy is the one sure answer and the best advice.
Welcome to the board!

Well, I'm in middle tennessee. A place called smith county. If I'm not mistaken, the altitude here is 500ft, but I could be wrong. The altitude the map was created with was at sea level. Just pm me your email and I'll send it to ya. As far as trying another map, I think i'll stick with this one. It runs great and it would be too much hassle to take the pcIII back off to reprogram it. I don't have a laptop.
