newbie just joined

what up, just got back in the game.Bought a 07 zx-14 special edition,I fell in love with the bike just window shopping with my brother in law.Went in on a saturday just to look ended up with it sitting in the garage on tuesday[just because they were closed on monday].It is very hard to stay within the break-in rpms but it has still been very rewarding{man what power}.I'm really wanting info on any mods that make the zx even more fun.I'm more of a low end light to light power type than a top end peel your paint off type.I'm thinking about pipes, love the low growl sound.Looking foward to hearing suggestions pease out RHINO

I heard a rumor that said Smokin has got a smeg for sale. You might want to hit him up and see if he still has it. It's a bad ass pipe for real! Welcome!

Congratulations and welcome--

Now that you have your bike you have to ask the forum that all important question....

Brock or Muzzy?

Welcome... and definately seek more info on the removing the secondary throttle plates and get you a pwer commander you WILL NOT BELIEVE the power difference it makes and as far as pipes go it depends on what you want out of a pipe good sound and power at a reasonable price muzzy makes a GOOD pipe, if you want the MOST power and the more aggressive sound and the MOST AMAZING customer service go with the Brock You could also get a yoshi I havnt heard much info about them though

Rhino, congratulations on your new 14 & welcome to the site. This is a great place to learn more about your 14 and fortunately many of the guys here are very knowledgeable about the bike and are very willing to help answer questions that you may have. First thing to do before you ride this bike too much is to check the tightness on all your bolts. This may have only been a problem with the 06 bikes that were first released, but my 06 that I purchased in November was the same, many bolts just hand tight. Hope that helps for starters. Be safe.

Rhino, from what I've read it sounds as if a set of slip-ons is what you're looking for. I so, check out the Area P pipes. They come with a 2.5" spout for a deep low tone and are available in all different lenghts of your choice from short to long. Super nice pipes and very affordable!!!
