I've got the Bagster tank cover and one of their tank bags, it's been so easygoing. The tank cover is the glossy Crystal version. Not sure if I have any pictures, I'll post them later if I find any.

I have the Cortech 21 liter bag - it's great. It has 4 zippered pockets on the outside. Great for my intercom device to hook to my cell phone and ipod too. And, has a see-through map pocket on top and plenty of room inside. You can either zipper it out or unhook from the straps. Great item. I think I paid around 120 for it.

The Joe Rocket Manta works perfect. There are two sizes. I have the small one.

My husband and I both have the Joe Rocket Manta bags and love them. He has the Blue and black and I have the solid black. The angle of the bag is great when you lay on the tank. The bag doesnt get in the way like others.

I have a Joe Rocket velocity. It holds a lot more than the manta and I really like the clear pouch on the top for my cell phone and GPS. It seems they quit making them though, so they are hard to find. Also it's kinda bulky but is comfortable to lay on, though you won't be able to get behind the wind screen much. I trimmed the "wings" on mine so they wouldn't flap around, but that was very simple and it fits great now.

I hate to admit this, but I have a tank bag.

I would rather have a goldwinger for hauling, but since its so rare I haul anything on my superbike (except major azz), ....I'll admit to the tank bag. It took a lot for me to admit such a thing.

FBA, I took your advice on the Michelin PP's before I realized exactly what type of person you are, i.e. spare no expense, spare no comfort, drive balls to the wall until you hit the wall or run out of gas.

People should know that when reading your advice. That being said, the PP's are great tires but a lot more tire than I need, or most other people, and the wear rate gets expensive. And oh, ya, tank bags are useful too.

I admitted to a tank-bag but hardly ever use it. I can't go cheap or cut myself short on tires.

PP's are for high-end, high-quality high-performance sportbike riding. If you ride social security style or want a million miles, PP's (or their competitor's) are the last type tire to have on your bike.

PP's match goldwing bikes about as well sportcruiser tires and sidecars match ZX14s.

Personally I bought my 14 for performance, it came with true performance tires and I spring a few extra bux to replace them with the best performance tires I can get.

You're right about the PP's, sure. I thought I was gonna ride like that but I just don't trust the quality of the roads enough. The harder you push the less chance you'll have of dodging, dogs, squirrels, and reckless motorists, also. I'm willing to gamble with my skill level a little if I was at a track with a good surface but on the street it just seems like the risk is too high. I don't expect to live forever but I'd like to play the game with a little better odds than some people.

If i've just been over a stretch of highway, I'll drag some pegs here and there, but that just doesn't happen enough to justify the PP's. Besides, you should probably be dragging fairings before you'd notice the difference anyway.

"Besides, you should probably be dragging fairings before you'd notice the difference anyway. "

That's so far from the truth. If you (truthfully) had both PP's on your bike and hard sport touring tires too and didn't notice a VERY VERY noticeable difference in braking distance, acceleration, braking in turns, less vibration at high speeds, braking late and trail-braking into turns, accelerating leaving exiting the turns.......

then you sir are obviously not riding the 14 any different than you would a Harley or Goldwinger, and yes the Pilot Powers are an utter waste of money for you. Truthfully so is the rest of the 14, there are much more comfortable bikes for your riding style. But hey I don't blame you for riding the 14 slow, because its such an ego boost anyway and the chix dig it!

If you're right then I won't have the Diablo Stradas for long but I don't think they are really sport touring tires. Guess it depends on your definition, though, since they are designed for a bit more mileage. They are rated for 150+, so I'd be very surprised is there is any increase in vibration. I can't remember any Harleys or Gold wings doing 185 so that part of your statement is way off.

I ask about the bag because I ride my bike. I average about 22,000 miles per year. I live in AZ we have 12 month riding season. =) I bought the ZX14 for Sport Touring. In fact after seeing the hard bags on phytrax bike I think I will be getting a set of those as well. Thanks to all for the suggestions on a tank bag I'm still looking though. As far as the thread jack about tires.... IMO if you need a track type tire you better be riding it on the track. I teach Hi Perf riding for www.aztrackday.com I ride a Track bike at the track not a tank i.e. ZX14 Keep the bag suggestions coming guys I do appreciate it any and all suggestions.

I live in FL where we have 12 months riding season, do 12-14,000 miles a year and I hesitantly admit I have a tank bag (rarely use!) but when it comes to needing luggage I'll buy the concourse or goldwing or beamer cuz my 14 looks as all with bags and luggage. If yours or Phytrax's doesn't that fantastic.

Now to illustrate, my 14 would look with luggage compared to this sweet touring bike. If I was going 22,000 miles a year would I ride a Jethro Clampet 14, or this below?

So here is a bag suggestion:

Ya, sorry for the thread jack about the tires, I was trying to make a point and got carried away. The concourse is a sweet bike but I wanted a supersport with bags, not a sport tourer, so my setup was a no brainer for me. Not even to mention how much fun it is when the guys on liter bikes can't get my big ass out of their mirrors... except when I pass them.
